Hi there, @DesignGrits

I definitely get the frustration, but we can't just auto-unlink accounts as this is incredibly damaging to the account. What you need to do is go through the account recovery process so an advisor can verify ownership of the account and update the email to your current one. To do that, you'll need to open a case with an advisor again here.

When an account is unlinked, all progress and content is deleted. That's what I mean by the account being damaged. That's years of playing our games all gone because the account was unlinked. If this were to be possible, we'd have people unlinking accounts for other players they had a bad experience with. We really have to verify account ownership before making such drastic changes. I'm very sorry, but there is nothing we can do over Answers HQ to help with this.

This has to do with your EA account. Not your Steam account. The point of account verification is to prove ownership of the account. So, the owner should know the details being asked to verify they own it.

In order to play our games through Steam, you need an EA account. Your EA and Steam accounts must be linked. To do that, account ownership verification needs to be passed for the EA account. We can't help with this over Answers HQ. You'll need to open a case with an advisor to verify ownership and update the email address on the EA account.
