No, you don't need to delete it first. The download time will be dependant on your internet speed and connection, so it's impossible for anyone to put a time on that for you.
We're still in the process of supporting it, and we ask that you stick with it after it gets a few patches.
We're currently working on improving the map generation and looking at the Market and Bomber, for instance.
I don't hate it by any means. Still one of the best games I've ever played and I've put in thousands of hours. I just find it harder to play now that it takes soooo long to get populations up per village. I like the new boats but I'm finishing games at 30 in perfection and barely pulling in 50 stars a round. Still love it though it's just a MUCH slower paced game, now.
We're just going to need time to fine-tune things.
"Too fast" is also a problem.
