Since the content based on TROS is coming after the movie and considering that the next wednesday after the 20th is the 25th when are going to receive that content? Or it doesn't matter that it lands on christmas for the update to deploy?
You're going to have the update before Christmas day.
My matches still last an hour-90 minutes or more. Granted I’ve played maybe 5-6 matches in total since the change, but they’re still a little too long and go back and forth. I still think changing the ship phase back to a button/timer would fix things.
You must be very unlucky if they are still lasting 90mins, on a regular basis at least.
Let me know if you're still experiencing this after a few more games.

Isn't the battle point amount only like 80,000? Since CS matches usually last days, I'm not surprised people were reaching that amount.
Most matches of CS now last in the region of 30-45mins
Maybe we need to increase the BP cost next time...

I’ve actually noticed a lot of low-level players in my matches recently. Maybe the triple XP event brought some new ones in? Or maybe all the new Star Wars stuff coming out (Fallen Order, Mandalorian, Rise of Skywalker) resulted in a spike in game sales? The mode has been feeling significantly more alive.
