Hey everybody,
Worry not, links to Twitch account linking will be added to the main menu once each platform receives patch 2.4.4.
It’s scheduled to come before the full launch of Siptah. Once that patch is released on your platform, you will be able to link your accounts. Again this is planned to come before the drops campaign starts. Until then, sit back, relax and grab a cup or coffee! (or tea )
Purchase of Isle of Siptah is not required to benefit from the Twitch Drops campaign.
I’m not Ignasi, but 2.4.4 will be the 2.4 update for consoles and will be released…
(aka in time for the official Isle of Siptah release)
Yup, all you need to do is link your game to your twitch account and watch some Conan Exiles streams during the times listed on the site. There is no additional cost to earn these items.
To answer your previous question, Isle of Siptah is not included with Gamepass - only the base game is included with the service, so any DLCs are sold separately (including Isle of Siptah). I know folks are eager to learn the price and we’ll let you know…soon. Considering we’re 24 hours from launch anyway
My current understanding of the Drops system is that you will still need to watch other streams in order to earn Drops for yourself.
The Watcher set does not include footwear.
“touch some grass” - bug assassins, probably
Drops are not tiered; it’s cumulative as you mentioned. In order to earn the three drops for each day, you’d need to watch 2 total hours of Conan Exiles streams, not 3.5 hours.
More specifically/technically, you earn progression concurrently on all items of the day, if that makes sense. In any case, it’s a max of 2 hours per day of drops.
It should open a browser window through the Steam Overlay with a button that allows you to link your account. If you aren’t seeing that browser window, please first make sure your Steam Overlay is enabled.
image1547×951 308 KBor is that not what you’re talking about? Let me know.
Huh, weird. You have the Steam Overlay enabled and nothing happens when you click on the “Link Twitch Account” button on the main menu ingame?
Hmm, I’m trying it on my end and I’m having no issues getting the browser window to pop up and being prompted to link my account. Was able to link my work steam account to my work twitch account too. I’m here at home and not on a special connection or work VPN either.
I do apologize for any trouble folks are experiencing when attempting to link their Twitch account, but the link needs to be done through they actual client they’re playing on.
Okay, could you break down the steps for me so I’m clear on what’s happening? Is it:
Or does it just fail at 2) and you’re not getting the steam overlay and/or browser to pop at all?
No you’re good I’m just super pedantic and need specific steps and details sometimes
I’m sorry if I’m asking pedestrian questions, but just to confirm; when you’re at the Conan Exiles main menu:
image1699×939 406 KBYou should see that “Link Twitch Account” thing at the bottom-right of the screen. Clicking that should open the Steam Overlay and pop up a browser to let you link your accounts. If you click that, is nothing happening even though you have Steam Overlay enabled?
Yeah, the link is only available after the 2.4.4 update from earlier today, this should be further at the bottom-right:
If you’re not seeing that number sequence then you need to make sure you update your client to the latest version.
Hi friends, while Twitch’s content policy is certainly a popular topic of discussion around the internet lately, I’d like to avoid going on about that particular topic here. Let’s focus on games.
Huh, weird. They should be visible from your creator dashboard at least, here’s what it looks like on my personal, anonymous twitch account that isn’t yet linked with Conan Exiles or anything like that:
image1653×829 217 KBEvery day there’s a set of three drops you can get; these items are available for the whole day, but then will not be available again once the day is over. The full schedule is available on The Conan Exiles Drops Website.
Sure thing!
Is that after restarting Conan Exiles and/or Steam?
No, that shouldn’t matter. As long as you have the right client revision it should be there.
If I’m understanding you correctly, there’s no button at the bottom of the newsfeed on the right? If that’s the case, the only other thing I can think of is a mod that’s changing your main menu. Do you think you could temporarily uninstall Age of Calamitous and see if that does anything?
(away from things for a bit, have to run to the store)
After the mini client patch earlier I’m at #295778/29491 as well. What the heck…
I’m running a mostly vanilla install with only a few mods (all currently disabled) and I can see the button.
I’m stumped, yo. It’s probably something incredibly simple we’re missing, too.
I’m actually not entirely certain what the answers are for these. Will relay to the team and follow up.
Answer from programmer:
“The Twitch account gets linked to your Exiles account. You will need to keep it linked or you will lose the recipes, but all characters on your account, present, past, and future will have access to them, just like the DLC recipes”
So there’s still just no button at all under your news feed? Could you please get me another screenshot of your main menu?
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally don’t mind if you want to talk at each other in the thread; crossing some streams is pretty normal on forums. However you wanna do it.
From the site FAQ:
Progress is cumulative, you do not need to restart from zero. Simply start watching another Conan Exiles Twitch stream with drops enabled to continue your progress.
Your Exiles account and Twitch account will remain linked until you manually disconnect the link from your Twitch account, I believe. If you disconnect your account link, then you lose access to the recipes. I’m not 100% sure about offline singleplayer, will follow up or hope one of my colleagues in Oslo can see this and answer for me when they’re back on. It’s late here in US East.
Yup, asked on Slack. I have to log off now but we’ll get an answer soon.
And a nice slice of !
yummy
Hi friends, quick notice/clarification for those this may affect:
The new Drops service supports using your PC/Mac web browser or on the Twitch app for Android and iOS to earn and claim Drops. Twitch apps on game consoles, smart TVs, and other TV apps do not support the new Drops service at this time.
Source: Twitch Customer Support
So in order to earn drops from viewing streams, it looks like you’ll need to use a browser or the mobile app and not an app from your TV or console. Thank you @Rollotomozi for the heads-up. I am going to assume this is current information given it’s from Twitch’s own site, so please be aware of this when viewing streams!
[Twitch] should show what account you’re connected to, I believe. You can only have 1 Twitch account linked to 1 Conan Exiles copy. Not sure what happened here.
You could try logging in to any server for a moment and then disconnect, and see if that does anything?
I think I saw something about ReShade in this thread or somewhere recently, but if you’re still having issues getting the Steam Overlay to open in Conan Exiles (even with it enabled within Steam itself), it could be a ReShade mod interfering with the overlay. As noted here:
If you’re having difficulty getting the overlay to work in order to link your Twitch account, double-check to see if you have one of those ReShade packs or .dll files installed. If you do, please uninstall or otherwise disable the mod and try again.
The drops cycle 2021-05-29T15:00:00Z (about 45 minutes from this post)
Looking into it!
Should be active now.
We double-checked the remaining days and they should correctly cycle at 15:00 UTC. Sorry for any panic!
If you’ve claimed the items on your Twitch account, you can save them and get them in Conan Exiles later once you link your accounts. If you didn’t watch streams and collect the day’s drops, then I’m afraid you missed out
Great question! If you indeed claimed the items then they should stick around on your Twitch account. Will ask around.
Each day is its own individual campaign, technically. I believe it was set up this way due to some limitation otherwise.
According to the Twitch dev documentation on Drops, “Any rewards earned by viewers will remain within their inventory, if they have earned them or claimed them already.” Under the section about Expired Campaigns.
My personal interpretation of that would be that items you earned but didn’t push the Claim button for should be there for you… but I’m not the one doing implementation on either side.
But if you’re getting a notification that says you have a limited time to actually claim it, well. You should claim the item right after you earn it. You can claim without connecting your account, so the items will sit in your Twitch inventory. Then once you connect your accounts, you should then get the crafting recipes in-game.
Edit: Twitch Drops in your Twitch Inventory must be claimed within 24 hours of the Campaign end date. Each day is its own campaign, so you’ll want to claim the item immediately after earning it.
I actually got this error once today at the convention I’m at. Good to know, although I’m sorry for the trouble.
(It was just during initial setup, it didn’t blow up on someone playing, don’t worry )
Ah, hm.
Are you stuck?
Chairs are hard. . Them and doors are deceptively annoying to make
We have an idea why, but not an immediate solution. In the meantime we urge PlayStation folks to make certain you’re claiming your drops on your Twitch account as soon as possible after you’ve earned them.
This ensures they’ll remain on your Twitch account so when we do have a solution ready, you’ll be able to get all the rewards in game as intended.
Regular reminder that while we’re totally fine if folks like or dislike this Twitch campaign and/or want to disagree with each other about it, please avoid ad hominem attacks. thank u
I disconnected my Twitch account for reference and was still able to claim items after earning them. I claimed the Standard of the Dragon and Wolf Statue earlier today, but disconnected before claiming the Tunic of the Watchers.
How it looks on my desktop browser:
How it looks on my Android Twitch app:
I was able to hit the ‘Claim Now’ button for the Tunic on desktop and it added it to my ‘Claimed’ section below:
image1333×651 76.2 KBAnd you can see I still have the Day 1 rewards in my inventory as well. I missed Day 2 :x
For what it’s worth, I did add a notice to the OP earlier today (~10 hours ago) about needing to claim within 24 hours of the end of each day’s campaign, and a temporary notice out on social media stories urging folks to claim their items immediately upon receipt. Hopefully it helps mitigate any confusion.
I will confess I personally wasn’t aware of this limitation going into this campaign (and I feel real dumb about it, because this is something I should be aware of) and I apologize we didn’t make it clear from the get-go.
If we do similar Twitch Drops events in the future we’ll make sure the need to physically claim items within 24 hours of the end of the campaign is clearly communicated from the start. At this moment however, we’ll just have to continue moving forward.
I appreciate it, but I still claim some responsibility for the error in communication since this is part of my wheelhouse and all. Let me beat myself up a little at least ;p
And I do have to come in to defend my colleagues - there are developers and sysadmins staying on and working on stuff behind the scenes and the community/support team is all-hands-on-deck for the launch. G-Portal staff are also on the horn for all hours of the day, so I’d like to give them all some credit.
Anyhoo, certainly not an ideal situation but we’ll learn from it and do better next time. Thanks for rooting for us and keeping us honest.
Drops expiring if not claimed within 24 hours of the end of a campaign is a design of the Twitch Drops system itself, and not something we can set or alter, as far as I am aware. I obviously can’t speak for Twitch Support about help for this, so I can’t guarantee anything about your request, but they’d be the ones to talk to.
These concerns will certainly be brought up but I cannot make any promises of what course of action we’ll end up taking.
Wow what is this faux leather nonsense? Genuine cowhide or bust.

Wouldn’t be the weirdest thing my coworkers have seen me do
The Watcher set does not include footwear! It was originally intended as a 4-piece set. This is a fairly common question so we understand if it caused any confusion - sorry about that!
Spooky indeed. Which pants are those?
The set was originally designed with 4 pieces.
Yes!
Congratulations you bunch of murderous barbarians. You’ve sort of smashed through the goals faster than expected
And as an FYI confirming what @fito quoted: All platforms will get these drops! When? In an upcoming patch in the near future. Stay tuned!
Can you craft these items in a private/official server?
Thanks for the info. Poking the team to see if they’re aware of other similar issues on PC and possible workarounds.
Edit: Alright, back!
@GreteL_spb
It seems the Twitch account is not connected on the in-game backend (but it is on the Twitch side). It can happen if you tried to disconnect/reconnect different accounts and got them mixed up. If there is a problem with the linking, it may be solved by:
Clicking the Link Twitch Account button in game main menu
If there is already connected Twitch account:
Clicking the Open Twitch Settings Wepbage button and verifying that there is no connection to Conan Exiles. It is important to do this in game within the steam overlay , if there are any problems with differences between Twitch and in game status of linking.
Close the Twitch webpage and wait a few seconds.
Click again on the Link Twitch Account button in game main menu
Reconnect the Twitch Account
If there is no connected Twitch account on the in-game side it will automatically open the connection webpage:
Log into your Twitch account from your browser outside the game. Unlink the Conan Exiles Account Link from the Twitch Settings Wepbage
Go back to game and continue with linking
If there is still information about the already connected Twitch account, try to log into any server and then go back to main menu.
