[2020] New Game Launcher

Hey everybody,

While we’re reading all your responses, we would like to ask and remind you to be constructive and respectful in your feedback.
Also, we’d like to clear what it seems a common misunderstanding at the moment. This launcher does not substitute Steam, it is not a storefront, it doesn’t sell anything outside of Steam’s store and there is no intention to pull the game from Steam.

We’re seeing a bunch of flagged posts from this thread.

Once again, please keep feedback objective and constructive, and please do not get at each others’ throats when debating/discussing. Everyone’s feedback is important and valid, including from folks who are new to the forums.

From this point forward, in order to keep this topic on track, we kindly ask that you avoid replying with anything that isn’t direct feedback or discussion about the launcher itself.

Questions to ask yourself when replying:

• What do you like about the launcher (if anything?)
• What don’t you like about launcher (if anything)?
• What are your reasons for the above?

If you disagree with someone’s feedback, please specify what it is you disagree with, and explain why. Negative feedback can at times be disheartening, but if it’s well-reasoned and thought out (and not just flaming), it’s extremely valuable.

On the other hand, please ensure your feedback is objective and constructive. Outright flaming us or anyone else won’t help and will get your post removed.

As mentioned earlier, everyone’s feedback and voice is valid and we encourage members to not shame new users for registering and contributing their feedback. If that continues to be an issue, I’m going to look into turning off the “first time” post notification (for starters).

Alright people, it’s sad that we need to remind you of this. But please.
Keep the feedback constructive.
Do not attack other players.
Do not engage in playground fights.
Please send your feedback AFTER trying the launcher.

Feedback coming with this mindset is moot to us at the moment. Not only on this, but on other threads or patches as well. Please try the launcher, then give your feedback. It is totally fine that you dislike it, but please give it a try first. We want constructive feedback, not just pre-conceived opinions.

Keep the thread on topic and let’s be an example of an outstanding community.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll be closing this thread and working on a new iteration of the launcher based on the constructive feedback collected.
Once it’s out and available for testing we’ll be opening a new thread to collect a new batch of feedback.
