CK3 and CSL are completely unrelated games, aside from being published by us - they are on different engines and written by different studios.

Has this always happened with these games on this machine, or they were okay up to some point?

You can't do this with CSL, but what happens if you run the ck3 executable directly from a terminal command, line, which bypasses the launcher?


Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

Your Intel HD Graphics 530 is well below the minimum requirement for this game, the Intel® Iris Pro™ 580

Whether that's causing your crashing problem I'm not sure, as we also see lots of worrying errors there. But it is very. likely the cause of your very slow performance.

If you delete the whole Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/ folder (after moving any valued save games elsewhere first of course) do you still get these crashes?

The Documents folder with the error logs ought to be in .local/share/Paradox\ Interactive/Crusader\ Kings\ III/
