:Iljakll said: Cont: I posted about this a couple of times on the bug forum but got no response. So, my apologies if this belongs on the bug forum, but i'm getting no responses there.
Paradox are shut down for their annual winter break, so I'm afraid that is as expected for this time of year. Furthermore it seems unlikely your issue is an actual game bug, or everyone would get it.

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

:Iljakll said: have an idea as to why this issue is occurring but I am brand new to PC gaming so plz correct me if I'm wrong. The GPU memory is split into 2 devices. I have 4GB in my I7 and 4GB in my GeforceRTX
The Intel video system has essentially no Vram of its own, it uses system memory up to 4gb if it needs to. The nVidia card has its own dedicated Vram which is unconnected with system memory or the Intel video system. This is so for every machine in the world with dual Intel/nVidia video setups. The game solely uses the nVidia GPU. However you might check with Dell for an update to the Intel video driver, or failing that Intel themselves https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

:Iljakll said: The changes you recommended helped a bit but there are still some characters that are bugged. The changes are making the game bearable to play as about 90% of characters are normal (Before the changes it was around 60%)
The fact that reducing the settings on the nVidia helped but did not completely cure the problem, points to an issue in that card or driver (or conceivably elsewhere in hardware or Windows). If GeForce Experience is running, exit it before starting the game.

This machine has 8gb of system memory and the game requires 6gb as a minimum, so unload every other app you can before starting the game.

If none of that helps, Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install

From those screenshots it's pretty clear your hardware is overheating; any temp above 80c (176f) will likely cause problems.

Clean out all air vents it has (compressed air cans are good for this). Make sure airflow to them is not blocked by anything like walls, books or whatever.
If that doesn't drop the temps enough, you probably have a faulty fan or a heatsink/thermal paste problem. You may need professional help at that point.

Good luck!

We don't really have a programme for that purpose, but you can DM my boss @TinyWiking and/or the forum admin @DebbieElla I guess!
