[2022] cant launch the game

It looks like this new problem only affects computers with processors that do not feature AVX:

This is being investigated, and I'm sure will be fixed soon if that is indeed the problem.

Meantime you can revert to 1.5.1 in the Steam Betas tab for this game, OR only play on a computer with a more advanced CPU that has AVX.

There is no fix as yet for any version, I'm afraid!

Microsoft do not provide any mechanism to distribute alternate or older game versions, unlike Steam. All you can do is wait for a fix from us, or only play on a computer with a more advanced CPU that has AVX.
