IN BRIEF

  • The current dye system is being reworked for 0.8.0.
  • Large dye bundles will be replaced by curated dye trios.
  • Trios will be priced at 125, 350, and 600 platinum.
  • Eight dyes will be retiring for now.
  • You will keep all dyes you acquire before 0.8.0 (including retiring dyes).
  • Earn dyes from Heroics and Hunt Pass!

Fresh hues. Curated palettes. New dye sources. New trio prices. The world of dyes is about to change, and this is your guide to the bright, brilliant future.

this is the ideal, having to fiddle with cells after changing loadouts pretty much defeats the whole point of having set loadouts in the first place.

Hi! There are a couple of changes coming in the 0.8.0 patch that should address some of these issues:

- More of a focus on high tier behemoths for crafting high tier gear (eg: orb requirements shifted to heroic arcstones, etc)

- We agree this quest felt rough, particuarly on the heels of Moyra's quest and the requirements have been reworked

Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming!

Yup, people have been asking for at least a third dye slot since forever. The devs seem incapable of getting it through their heads sadly, they haven't even addressed the 1000's of requests for it. (Despite the fact it would make them a ton more in cosmetic sales alone.)

I think you're going to like the next update to the roadmap ❤️

I really hope they add it soon because its such an essential part of a hunter game (Especially with the added encouragement of swapping armor/weapons constantly for the new mastery system).

Totally!! It's slated to land in the next few months

The inspect menu had some serious issues that were causing problems as we push to console, and had to go into retirement to be rebuilt. We know it's a useful feature, and hope to have it back in action before long.

I think the biggest thing a lot of us are wondering about is how cells will work with loadouts. Say I only have one of a specific cell, then I obviously can’t equip it in two different gear pieces I’m wearing at the same time. But would it work to have that one cell in gear piece X under Loadout A, and also in gear piece Y under Loadout B? Because that would be an amazing QoL enhancement.

It's a great question - My goal there is to make it so you could have a cell slotted in an axe in one saved loadout, but also have it slotted in greaves in another saved loadout. A complete instance of your gear state.

My question: How will the proposed multiple loadouts function work?

There are still some details we are trying to iron out, and it's actually a more complicated thing to explain than it might seem, but the goal is to let you build out loadouts and easily select them in the Loadout menu.

Edit: deleted the second question.

Ah, pets!
This is a super exciting topic and there are so many places we could take this kind of feature. We've had some recent internal conversation about how we might do some version of "pets" that align with our future plans, but right now they are just high level ideas and not ready for broader consumption.

ETA and status on the transmog rework?

Thanks for checking in on this.

No ETA as this feature is still being actively discussed and prioritized. We're still keen on improving the value and want to make sure we can deliver what is currently on the roadmap before we add more.
