There's such great content in all these scrolls and books, but tbh, I (and many many others) almost always just click them for the XP or companion's favor. Why not incentivize actual reading, @ZOS_Kevin ? Just reward it when leaving the book dialog 20 sec open or such, with double XP and companion favor. For me, it would do the trick.
