Hi everyone,

We recognize many of you ran into issues yesterday while using the Activity Finder – primarily on PC NA – including experiencing extremely long wait times or simply not getting into a group at all, despite your chosen roles. We are actively investigating what’s causing these issues and are making some adjustments in an effort to prevent this from occurring again today, and we will be monitoring as we approach prime time this evening.

We’re also aware there are still some situations where there are long loading screens and increased lag, and we are working on getting these remedied as well. If you are still experiencing a crash before the login screen since Update 33 launched, please see this Support article with instructions on how to fix the issue.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to work through everything. We recognize this has been frustrating and we hope to give everyone a better experience moving forward. Just as a heads up, we're going to keep this thread locked just so it's easier for everyone to track further updates, but please feel free to post questions/comments about these topics in one of the existing threads. Thank you!

Hi All,

We wanted to provide an update on the issues many of you have been reporting over the last several days and after today’s maintenance.

We are aware and currently investigating issues some players are having on the North American PC/Mac megaserver regarding unusually long load times, latency and disconnections following today's maintenance. We have been working on changes in the background over the last week and weekend to improve the play experience. However, we have identified the issue and will be bringing down the server for maintenance at 12:30PM EDT / 16:30 UTC to address it.

We also want to note that we have seen some PC-EU players express they are experiencing similar issues. We are investigating this as well.

We will update as new information becomes available. We know this has been frustrating for many of you, so thank you for your continued patience as we are working through these issues.

Hi All,

We have an additional update after today’s maintenance.

We are still investigating issues some players are having on the PC NA megaserver regarding unusually long load times, latency and disconnections following today's maintenance. Unfortunately, the issues that surfaced after this morning's maintenance on PC/Mac and Stadia have persisted following this afternoon's maintenance. We are actively investigating to find the best resolution to these issues so you can have fun in Tamriel.

We will update as new information becomes available. Again, thank you for your continued patience as we know this is frustrating for everyone.

Hey everyone,

Over the past few days, we’ve been actively investigating the ongoing issues that have been mainly affecting PC NA. Each evening as we approach primetime hours, our team has been making adjustments on the backend in attempts to identify what’s causing these issues and try to lessen the impact. We have not yet identified a single root cause, especially given how much more these issues are affecting one server compared to the others. We’ve been logging into the game and experiencing the increased lag and load screens too and we want you to know that finding and fixing what’s causing these issues is our #1 priority right now.

A huge thank you for your ongoing patience as we know this has been very frustrating, and we’ll continue to provide updates in this thread.

We just posted a maintenance announcement here, but wanted to let everyone know we are taking PC NA offline for maintenance today at 1pm EDT in attempts to try and fix these ongoing issues. We anticipate being finished with maintenance by 4pm EDT.

Hi everyone,

Just to close the book on this thread, our Studio Director Matt Firor posted a detailed postmortem explaining what happened during PC launch to cause these issues and what we plan to do as a result. You can find that thread here.
