[ATTACH type="full" width="674px"]384392[/ATTACH] Greetings Commanders! Update 18 will be landing on Monday 26th February! Here is what you can expect on release day. Please note the file size is approximately 30GB so please ensure you have the available space. RELEASE SCHEDULE
  • AT APPROXIMATELY 06:00 UTC – In game server downtime warning broadcast will start.
  • AT APPROXIMATELY 08:00 UTC – Elite Dangerous 'LIVE/4.0' Servers will go offline. Update notes will be available soon after.
  • AT APPROXIMATELY 15:00 UTC – Elite Dangerous 'LIVE/4.0' Servers will return online and Update 18 will be Live.
Please note these are approximate times and may be subject to change. Please keep an eye on this thread and our social channels for any updates.

Greetings fellow carbon based lifeforms! As promised, here is an overview of the order of games being discussed in the stream tomorrow:
  • Intro
  • Planet Zoo: Console Edition
  • Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters: Console Edition
  • Elite Dangerous
I can't share exact timings because that would require insinuating that time is a linear constant and not an ever flowing river that reconstitutes itself to the whims of someone talking too long to explain something...Like this sentence. Important things to note, there will be competitions and Twitch Drops as well as lots of juicy information so I would recommend tuning in for the whole thing so you can avoid missing out on anything shiny. Stream starts at 18:00 UTC on www.twitch.tv/frontier so be sure to tune in!

That is...an interesting take away from the news... There is still a narrative team at Frontier working on Elite Dangerous, though I confess it would be kinda fascinating to see how programs that start slipping bits of fan fiction into news articles would cope with the years of intergalactic politics and intrigue Elite has going on ;)

Just to cover one of the things being mentioned about only being interested in one game: We are aiming to edit the stream after it airs and to share the relevant game bits on the channels of those games. So if you are only interested in Elite and don't want to check in on the stream to see when it is "your bit" then fingers crossed we'll have the Elite bits up on our YouTube and social channels soon after.
