Hi there CMDR!
As Anzial commented, you'll only be able to log in directly through the Frontier launcher if your Steam purchase was prior to April 2019, otherwise you would need to be logging in through Steam. If you're still having this issue though, just pop us over a ticket (https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/...

Thank you. That was a good idea. Unfortunately it didn't work. The program did create a new audio file (loaded with defaults) but the sound didn't come back. <sigh>
