New Treasure Island Shares Update

After the server downtime for release 17.13.0, New Treasure Island shares will be tradable on the Entropia Exchange.

User Interface Update Postponed

Due to changing priorities related to the development of the Unreal Engine 5 client, Mindark has determined that it is not practical to implement the previously-announced User Interface update in 2021.

The process of upgrading the current CryEngine 2 client User Interface has been taking a lot of resources and is somewhat risky with regard to the technical aspects, given the complexity of the old UI framework. The decision therefore has been made to focus on implementing significant UI improvements in Unreal Engine 5 instead.

The efforts made thus far on the UI upgrade project have provided many insights and highlighted areas for improvement, which will of course help guide our efforts in crafting the user interface for the Unreal Engine 5 client.

Estate Deeds Acquired in Record Time

Twenty-two minutes. That’s how long it took for all 800,000 deeds of New Treasure Island to be snapped up by eager Entropia Universe participants. The fortunate deed holders will now share in the revenue generated by activity on New Treasure Island, one of the most popular hunting destinations within the vast metaverse of Entropia Universe.

New Treasure Island deeds were first listed on the Entropia Exchange on December 1, 2021 at 11:00 UTC, at a price of 10 PED (1 USD) per deed. Within just over twenty minutes, the record-breaking deed offering was fully subscribed. 

Compare this to the Crystal Palace Space Station offering of 500,000 deeds in 2019, which took nearly 48 hours to complete. This makes New Treasure Island not only the largest, but also the fastest metaverse estate offering...

New Treasure Island Deeds

In early December the Entropia Exchange will be expanded with a new listed company, New Treasure Island. The Entropia Exchange allows participants to acquire deeds in virtual companies and receive revenue in the form of dividends from estates controlled by those companies.

New Treasure Island is the third company to be listed on the Entropia Exchange, with deeds available starting on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 UTC.

Treasure Island has been one of the most popular destinations on Planet Calypso, and features the unique Globster creature as well as the unique Second Entity and Miner Bot robots.

New Treasure Island deeds can be acquired via the Entropia Exchange (accessed by right-clicking on the PED card).

Skrill Deposit Method Update

Mindark has discontinued its collaboration with payment provider Skrill that was introduced as a deposit method in April 2020. Skrill will no longer be offered as an option for deposits to or withdrawals from Entropia Universe.

Interface Update Postponed

We have received lots of valuable feedback from the community regarding the Preview of Upcoming Interface Changes announced last month, and we thank you for all the great suggestions.

Our goal is to incorporate as many of those suggestions as possible into the User Interface update. However, because the scope of the project has expanded significantly, it is not feasible to get that update implemented in time for the summer Version Update deadline.
