109s | had the meeting yet but we're going to |
110s | be discussing soon some other ways that |
112s | we can kind of treat you in these |
114s | streams including but not limited to |
115s | doing the showcases like we did uh |
119s | 17 years ago I think is when that was so |
123s | that we can kind of get some of your |
124s | playful builds out of there and uh |
125s | highlight some of that fun as well as |
127s | some other little things that we may or |
128s | may not be working on so uh just know |

197s | their own little you know uh |
199s | caveats but also benefits you know |

209s | different you do have to be a little bit |
211s | more careful about energy management |
212s | because you can blow through all of that |
214s | energy with your gear especially if your |
217s | energy core isn't up to stuff ours is a |
218s | level higher though weapon output |
221s | actually admittedly isn't so great but |
224s | we just added our perk called close call |
227s | because it's um you know nightmare |
230s | difficulty and I'm probably gonna have a |
232s | lot of close calls quite literally |

456s | so what we are doing is we're adding all |
458s | the stats well that's more or less what |
460s | we're doing so you can see like the ramp |
462s | up duration you can see the velocity you |
464s | can see the spread all of these details |
466s | are completely new on this scene now I |
470s | also want to point out that it is |
472s | intentional that we did not include this |
474s | information and once we get this done |
476s | once we get this little setup added to |
478s | the game this isn't going to be on by |
480s | default no there's going to be an option |
481s | in your settings that you can enable |
485s | Advanced or additional or something it's |
488s | going to say something details about |
491s | your stats and when you click on that |
493s | button it will enable additional stats |
495s | that you can see so if you don't care |
497s | about the stats and you're just like I |
499s | just want to I just want to play the |
500s | freaking game I want to blow stuff up |
501s | you know you don't have to care about it |
503s | and honestly probably having it turned |
504s | off is going to be better for you |
505s | because it's going to be less |
506s | overwhelming when you look at a thing |
508s | and there's less numbers that look |
510s | confusing but if you love The Numbers if |
513s | you want all the freaking details |

1193s | want to add and also we want to do stuff |

1204s | modify this and I can tweak that and the |
1206s | legendaries just kind of stuck you don't |
1208s | get a star forged version and blah blah |

2289s | these puzzles don't use a gunship |
2297s | because I mean friendships are slow I |

2300s | gunship gang out there you all know |
2302s | exactly what I'm talking about you try |
2304s | to do stuff like this you have to be |
2305s | more delicate you have to be precise |
2307s | because it's like it's so it's so much |
2309s | slippier slippery slipperier slip it's |

2315s | it's a it's a challenge and sometimes |
2317s | you know there's there's a number of |
2319s | different ways that you can go about it |
2321s | um one of the ways that I used to go |

2329s | of view so like here you could just like |
2331s | go up to 110 for example and this gives |
2334s | you a much better sense of where all |
2335s | those uh detonators are so we got those |

2340s | just a quick sort of like visual |
2342s | transformation so we got two there we |
2344s | got another one over there uh this is |
2346s | where they have I think these actually |
2348s | follow a line if I'm not mistaken so |
2350s | we're gonna try it and do that |
2352s | but overall I mean yeah there's a little |
2355s | bit of tedium on these requires some |
2359s | nuance and uh it's intentional |
2361s | it's very much intentional |
2364s | the other thing as well that people may |
2366s | not be aware of is that if you drop the |
2369s | difficulty down you do get longer |
2371s | between the detonations oh that is true |
2374s | that is true I forgot about that I might |
2376s | have to do that because I'm missing one |

2384s | so the timers are um lesser |
2388s | but when you do change the difficulty |

2484s | when you're going to locations similarly |
2487s | ish to everspace one there's just stuff |
2489s | that can just be generated wow that's a |
2491s | lot of mining equipment that's pretty |

2497s | find it doesn't account for 100 |
2499s | completion if it's random you don't have |
2502s | to collect it for that completion |
2503s | because otherwise then you'd have 100 |

2507s | generated it would no longer be 100 |
2509s | completed that wouldn't make any sense |

5512s | and we moved away from the gas mining |
5514s | because we wanted to use the nebulas |
5516s | more intentionally as a means of |
5519s | environmental design and also visual |
5522s | cues right so while it was applicable to |
5525s | everspace one and now it was like you |
5527s | need to get these resources and if you |
5529s | memorize where those locations can be |
5531s | found or if You observe the location |
5533s | itself that's floating out in space |
5535s | that's going to be your ideal method for |
5537s | moving quickly through that roguelike |
5539s | formula of everspace one but here in |
5542s | iberspace 2 the designs are much more |
5544s | intentionally placed in the handcrafted |
5546s | locations and this is also applicable to |
5549s | you know how you're acquiring plasma |
5550s | through destructibles that being said I |
5553s | do know at one point we had several |
5556s | concepts of like collecting gas from |
5559s | nebulas and stuff like that but |
5563s | we did kind of move away from it for |
5566s | some of the previously mentioned you |
5568s | know before like it's a distinct |
5569s | difference from how you're navigating |
5571s | everspace one into everspace two |
5574s | um but we do have like the the gas |
5577s | mining |
5579s | what's it called I can't remember what |
5580s | it's specifically called but there's |
5582s | like um in the gas fields in zarkov |
5584s | there's it's like a mini game where you |
5586s | have to try and select it and if you do |
5587s | well then you get a lot more plasma than |
5589s | normal |

5626s | destructibles because if we're taking |
5627s | away from that and then we're putting it |
5629s | somewhere else that changes |

5634s | you're collecting plasma and how you're |
5636s | collecting plasma and it would rebalance |
5639s | some of the perk progression for example |

5647s | uh not exactly something that would be |
5650s | just a simple sort of changeover and |

5700s | down um but the reason why we didn't |
5702s | want to associate that with the base |
5704s | destruction is because if you destroy |
5707s | all the base components if there's still |
5709s | ships that are in the area and you leave |
5710s | I mean they're why would they go back to |
5712s | their base when it's basically not |
5714s | functioning anymore right so there's a |
5716s | little bit of realism on that front this |
