91s stream started I just want to let you

105s chat dang it and that means something so
108s he are is going to be cataloging those
109s questions from you as we navigate a very
112s full day of content today as we're
114s looking at this foggy image oh my gosh
117s um and uh so we're going to just kick
120s things off right out of the gate uh with
122s an incursion okay cuz that's that's why
125s you're here that is why we are up in
127s this so let's just let's just do it so
130s here I have a predator um ship that I've
134s kind of like kind of designed for this
137s uh and I don't really know if it's going
139s to do it complete Justice I did a couple
142s of testing with various incursions but
144s um what I'm going to do is I'm going to
145s show you what how the incursions kind of
147s generate and then talk about them
149s further let's see if I can find one that
154s okay so we're over in zarov
156s excellent so incursions will populate on
159s the map at varying intervals um and
162s there will be multiple um threat levels
166s associated with them so what we have
167s here is actually an extreme threat uh
170s which we have two extreme threats we
173s have okay here we have some just High
175s threats maybe we want to go over here to
177s start things off or we could just like
179s punish our ourselves that's also fine um
183s and each one of the different threat
185s levels is going to change the difficulty
188s of that incursion itself the number of
191s those incursion sort of beacons that are
193s present there um is going to change
195s based on that threat level and the
197s rewards are also going to be uh
199s compensating if you're diving into those
201s higher threat levels versus the the
203s lower ones so there's a bit of a mixture
206s in there and I'm sure that there's going
207s to be a lot of individuals already
209s asking about well how does that play an
212s effect on the difficulty that I've
214s selected you know cuz we know that riffs
216s and their lunacy doesn't care what
218s difficulty you've selected so how does
220s that play a part in here and I think
221s that's a fantastic question that you're
222s all thinking of right now so as an easy
226s demonstration I am going to be operating
228s out of normal difficulty you can see
230s right right below here okay right below
233s here I'm in completely normal difficulty
237s and we are going to have our hand at
239s seeing uh
241s just how difficult this truly
245s is and you can gauge for yourself if uh
247s you think things
249s are fair or not I
253s suppose but we have spent a health a
256s healthy amount of time distinguishing
259s where the difficulty needs to be on all
263s accounts not just the endgame but also
267s for a lot of the challenges that are
269s currently in the game
271s so let me just speak towards this right
272s now we have actually tweaked um the
276s nightmare difficulty
278s curve so come
281s Monday if you were to start a new game
283s for example and you know how there's
284s that really difficult uh space whenever
288s you get to um like on level 10 11 right
291s it like gets crazy difficult and then it
293s starts like to fall off again when you
294s get like level 15 16 whatever yeah we
297s change that
300s now the difficulty is more incremental
302s from start to
305s finish and when you're playing a
307s nightmare even around level 25 level 26
309s level 27 like when I was streaming two
313s weeks ago that difficulty has
316s significantly ramped up no I am not
318s using that as an excuse for the number
319s of deaths I
322s had but I'm just letting you
328s know and that is one of
330s many
333s changes so let's look at an
342s incursion I'm also going to adjust the
345s sounds a little bit just to bring it uh
348s to fruition a little bit more

365s right
367s only so as you can directly see we have
370s added more chatter between Adam and Hive
373s because of course why wouldn't
377s we and here we go starting an incursion
388s event I'm trying and focus on drones
391s first be a little bit smart about
400s this now there's a lot going on
403s especially as I have my ALT
405s here but as you can see those little
407s purple
411s particles whenever we are getting a
414s kill an enemy will actually discharge
417s those little purple pieces
422s and it goes towards a beacon like this
424s and when it hits it slowly disrupts the
428s shields of that
435s Beacon and once the shields are down you
437s can destroy
439s it and you move on to the next
444s one now again we are playing on
447s normal difficulty right now but this is
449s also so the highest threat you can find
453s for an
455s incursion so this should give you a
457s pretty good sense of how the balancing
460s is playing its part
462s here and I am seeing the stream is doing
465s a a little bit of stuttering cuz again
467s there is a lot going on here oh goodness
469s of course I start talking and everything
471s falls
478s apart and in these events you're mostly
480s not by yourself like you can see that
483s these Outsiders if you will are
487s attacking the sights within the location
490s the incursion uh takes place
511s so there's very much like a joint effort
513s in these sites for fighting back
517s whatever the heck is going on here
545s are we going to get it I don't know if

549s are ah this is a good time to show how
551s the shields will come back up if you
552s don't get the
557s kill a little unfortunate cuz it's just
559s a hair of Health you can actually see
562s that Health too um which is just
564s underneath the
568s Shields and the upper right Corner above

588s head we have access to the beacon

602s right so you can see here after you've
605s destroyed the final
607s Beacon there's a ton of loot that drops
611s and of course we also have this little
613s thing called a reliquary so let's go
615s ahead and pick up all of this
619s stuff and
620s also all of those little ships and
624s whatnot that were fighting us you'll see
625s that they go completely
627s limp after the incursion itself self is
632s stopped if we can get one to happen if
635s we can get one that's Planet Side those
637s are my favorite incursions because when
638s you destroy the last Crystal uh all the
641s ships will actually just fall down and
643s RAM into the planet itself it's so cool
645s looking I really like
646s it I really like it so um that is the
650s Baseline of a I'm going to call it a
653s standard incursion there and now what
656s we're going to do is we're going to head
657s to um probably Prescott I want to
661s specifically go to Prescott because that
662s can Loop into a couple other things that
664s we want to share and talk about because
666s there's many because there's
670s many so that's the pathway we're going
672s to progress
679s here some nice views I would
683s say which if you guys have been paying
685s attention to the streams you've probably
687s already recognized this
690s there was an individual over on Discord
694s uh not Discord excuse me on the steam
695s forums who was talking about how they
697s felt like the cockpits were just
698s slightly
702s unfinished it's like I guess that's fair
704s criticism so you know what we did we
706s added a lot
710s more so you can see here the buttons are
713s no longer
715s like isometrically mirrored
719s these are all unique buttons
722s now everything's been cleaned up just
724s Tad more but also this literally a new
727s canopy in
733s here because now when you are unlocking
736s ship
737s modules
739s canopies are now something else you can
743s obtain so let's go over to Prescott
757s that cockpit looks very good now glad to
759s hear it I mean truth be told we were
762s very happy with the cockpits beforehand
764s yeah you could say that there were a
766s couple minor issues with it and whatever
768s that's fine that's that's good criticism
770s we appreciate
772s that um I don't know how many of you
775s know this but you can go back to some of
779s our
781s Vlogs before Early Access even started
786s okay and you can find our desires to
789s actually have unique canopy designs in
792s everspace 2 now there were a lot of
796s shifts in development for everspace 2
799s and we had to remove that from the
801s development plate of other things that
804s needed to happen and we are incredibly
806s thrilled with that direction but we are
808s more thrilled that even though we didn't
811s technically have to go back this route
812s and do it we did and again this is
815s completely free content where you have
817s unique canopies for not just of course
820s the medium ships but also for the light
825s ships and also of course for the heavy
830s ships and in addition to canopies you'll
832s also see that there might be a couple
834s new parts that you're seeing
838s here because it's not just the
842s front it's also the
846s bodies we'll go up to the uh small guys
849s here
851s next there's a not a lot of new little
854s modules that we've snuck in for your
857s pleasure for your
859s customization along the way I I'm I'm a
862s big fan of that one actually that's just
864s that's
866s Sleek of how you can continue stylizing
870s your ship to the points of making it
873s your
876s own so there will be a handful of new
881s engines the back sides the bodies which
884s is kind of this main area here and then
888s canopies for the light ships and the
890s heavy ships primarily but as you could
894s see in our own ship here excuse me right
896s uh here the medium ships also do have
900s access to those new canopies as
902s well all of this being
905s added is enabling like multiplicatively
909s thousands upon thousands upon thousands
911s of new combinations of course you
914s know uh but yeah we are incredibly
917s pleased with the direction that you'll
919s be able to take this um from here I am
922s going to show you just directly on the
924s medium ship how many cockpits there are
926s because I can but it's added right here
929s and we've got the type one which is the
931s classic we got the type two which I just
933s showed you we also have this type three
935s which I can uh we'll just change over to
938s that and I'll show you that visually
940s right now and the cockpits are
943s distinctly different from the lights to
945s the mediums to the Heavies just like the
946s engines are just like the wings are just
948s like the the uh the bodies all that
951s stuff so you have all that fun new
954s access
957s accordingly so
960s let's now since I was kind of like an
962s aside honestly cuz our main focus is now
965s returning to this reliquary thing that
967s we picked up what is a reliquary let's
970s discuss
971s this let's discuss this so reliquaries
975s in this case a radiant one too oh man
977s lots lots to discuss this is a
982s unique
983s container that you will have to open by
987s either spending a large sum of of Tears
989s of the Mad Or by completing a rift at
993s the required lunacy level on there or
996s higher okay there's a bonus to make it a
1000s little bit easier to acquire a reliquary
1004s like
1005s this if you look down below we now have
1007s these
1008s blessings what blessings will
1011s do is they will
1014s inject a sort of counter mutator through
1018s a rift run
1020s so generally speaking when you're doing
1021s a rift you get these modifiers that are
1023s against you making things harder the
1025s further you go in right these blessings
1028s are B Boons that will apply through the
1032s course of that Rift run to unlock a
1036s legendary cargo unit specifically here
1039s so it's only going to be a legendary
1040s cargo unit but it's also going to be a
1045s uh ra radiant legendary once that
1048s unlocks
1050s radiant for those who did not read our
1052s recent articles about what that means
1055s Radiance are effectively a way to now
1057s enhance your legendary stuff even
1060s further unlocking more
1063s potential for greater damage or number
1066s of targets that can be affected or
1069s through an amalgamation of randomizing
1072s your attributes so many different bounds
1075s can come from the radiant tag it is not
1078s just a mere stat bump it's actually a
1082s way to refine and to further uh even a
1086s particular build in some cases for your
1089s legendary equipment so let's go ahead
1093s and let's try to uh unlock this okay I
1096s think that's the next thing we should do
1097s let's try to go ahead and do a rift and
1099s talk about Rifts too since uh you know I
1102s think
1103s that you all know we've been working on
1106s Rifts
1110s so it's time to start talking about and
1112s showing why they are exactly different
1115s at
1116s all we're going to keep Precision
1119s here just tossing out a bunch of stuff
1122s that I could probably spend more time on
1124s but I don't want to cuz I want to show
1126s you new
1134s stuff all right
1145s so let's head on over to the spatial
1147s bypass
1149s here here's this other canopy by the way
1152s I'm a big fan of this one honestly
1155s really big fan of
1160s it I like how open it
1165s is it's nice all right so let's go ahead
1168s and create an ancient
1170s Rift okay so there's a little bit to
1173s talk about on this front too so many
1175s things so many things so to
1181s start you've seen me tease this kind of
1184s and we've teased it in screenshots I'm
1186s not necessarily sure if we effectively
1188s spoke about this yet but the lunacy
1190s level is now doubled it is literally
1194s doubled okay
1199s that means lots more adjustments to loot
1202s quality enemy hit points enemy damage
1205s all that type of stuff we've done a
1206s healthy bit of testing and basically if
1208s you complete lunacy 2000 um it's dang
1212s near guaranteed of All Star forged uh
1216s Superior drops and you know obviously a
1219s legendary and maybe even more than
1221s that so you don't have to plug in a relo
1225s quary but if you do let me show you what
1228s we have I have a bunch of Relic quaries
1230s here just to kind of show you a variety
1232s of them let me move my face so you can
1234s see them
1236s better so I have this one we gathered
1238s earlier um this has a required lunacy of
1243s 700 however the blessings it has are
1246s pretty nice stasis field enemies within
1248s 500 M are simply slowed down and
1251s inversion incoming damage has a 10%
1253s chance to be ignored and restore shield
1256s and armor instead 10% chance to just
1259s randomly not affect you but instead help
1263s you this Relic quiry specifically would
1266s grant us an energy core its required
1269s lunacy is 600 I'm not going to read off
1272s everything now because I know that you
1273s guys are competent and can do that
1278s yourselves I'm giving you a sense of how
1280s much variety can be found in just the
1282s reliquaries alone
1284s okay this is the one that we found
1286s earlier I believe you get all the
1288s possible passive of your ship class I
1289s love that that's such a fun one reading
1292s is hard though I see oh my gosh you guys
1295s um I think we're going to try for this
1297s one it's at lunacy 500 which honestly is
1299s a pretty strong challenge but why not uh
1302s but let me also show you these last
1309s two oh I like uh prosperous that one's
1313s fun this one we could grab very easily
1316s for a new secondary weapon but let's try
1318s to go for a c
1321s unit actually you know what let's go for
1323s the more guaranteed one that seems like
1325s a better
1326s bet let's do the more guaranteed
1330s one so now when we've plugged this in it
1333s tells us if we were to go all the way
1335s down to lunacy zero for example the
1338s required lunacy here also I have
1341s appeared once again you see the required
1343s lunacy to unlock the reliquary and the
1346s blessing it
1347s provides if we are less than the lunacy
1351s then it will require tiers of the Mad in
1353s order to unlock this but it's reduced
1356s versus having to open it just by
1357s ourselves so as we increase the lunacy
1359s you can see here we no longer have to
1362s have any tears of the M whatsoever gives
1364s us all the details we are going to
1366s unlock this reliquary should we finish
1368s the Run
1371s accordingly so I am going to we're going
1374s to keep things simple we're going to
1375s just um we're going to just do it at
1377s lunacy 200 so that we can have a pretty
1380s straightforward guarantee of this and
1383s also talk about the improvements and
1385s updates to the um the Rifts
1390s themselves uh whoops wrong button we
1393s going to do this one we're going to do
1395s it 200 uh open
1398s Rift so here we go
1411s keep coming with those questions we will
1414s be answering as many as we can uh
1416s because we know that it's going to be a
1417s pretty heavy uh question
1421s stream and that's great like we we are
1424s fully expecting that hit us with
1426s everything you
1428s got all right let's get this Tormentor
1430s first
1433s actually so there are a number of topics
1437s to bring up right out of the gate here
1439s for this particular Rift the first thing
1441s to note is we have progress and resolve
1444s still but they're probably not going to
1446s operate in the same way that you guys
1448s remember
1451s them now you can see that there's like
1453s this little um there's some
1455s indicators next to where it says lunacy
1461s 200 we've adjusted this
1463s system so that
1466s failure does not mean
1470s you lose everything just because your
1472s resolve ticks
1474s out if your ship goes down you're
1478s rejected but if your resolve goes down
1481s it just means for that particular
1483s territory you did not succeed the
1486s prerequisites but you will still
1489s continue through the
1495s rift I probably could have bumped up the
1498s lunacy a little bit more but you know
1499s what it's
1500s okay guaranteeing a victory here is
1504s probably going to be ideal for cases of
1506s showcasing so deal with
1510s it besides we'll likely see some new
1512s stuff here
1522s anyway all right so here we are told
1525s that the stage was
1527s resolved that that
1532s means we're going to have some nice
1535s benefits to our loot pool the deeper we
1539s go enemies cannot be
1543s locked enemy type names are
1546s hidden you can also see we've tweaked a
1548s little bit of the quality of information
1550s here so on this enemies cannot be locked
1553s this is a completely new modifier um I
1556s don't recall if this is exclusive to
1558s Rifts or if it can also be in something
1561s like a high-risk location for
1564s example but yes there are now exclusives
1567s to the two there are some things that
1569s can only be applied to Rifts and there
1572s are some specific to high-risk
1575s locations we're going to go ahead and do
1577s this one where enemies cannot be locked
1579s because hey you know what we've got 20
1581s cruise missiles or 10 10 cruise
1585s missiles 10 cruise missiles who needs to
1587s lock on for that
1591s nonsense oh also I'm gonna do one quick
1593s try here hang on hang
1599s on just seeing if I can get Gary one
1605s moment nope it appears to still be down
1610s unfortunate hoping that comes up soon

1616s going so we have no lock now applied to
1620s us in this particular
1623s Rift but we still have prosperous giving
1627s us all of those extra secondaries which
1630s we're not really using too much but hey

1632s know we might as well though am I
1635s right even though we can't lock on we've
1637s got pretty good aim
1639s right perfect
1663s just realized I don't have a Mobility

1694s devices are uh I can't even use two of

1734s go all talking about how oh it's only
1736s lunacy 200 this won't be too much of a
1739s problem and I freaking almost get caught
1741s out off guard because I don't have
1743s access to two of my
1746s devices shame on me for not making that
1750s realization because I can't lock on so I
1752s can't use them enemies drop mine when's
1755s destroyed every time an enemy is
1757s destroyed all enemies present are
1759s repaired ooh random items
1765s overheated well I do not like any of
1767s these options
1776s let's go with
1778s mines but you can see that as you're
1780s choosing these new portals now that the
1783s loot quality actually changes based on
1785s which one you choose if you guys had
1786s missed that that is now a thing so if
1789s you're choosing some harder modifiers it
1791s will increase the loot quality uh even
1793s greater
1800s all right let's really try to focus in
1802s take care to bring this all
1806s together oh man these are all too far
1808s away where's my
1817s boosters that was good
1829s getting a really good chain to keep my
1831s ult up here this is
1840s nice since don't forget well actually no
1843s that
1846s remember this is just this is just
1849s Interceptor Shenanigans honestly but
1852s it's
1854s nice of course there are some really
1856s playful ways to keep your alt up uh
1859s really well in a lot of other ships
1861s we've seen a lot of you guys out there
1862s in the community find those methods and
1864s it's
1866s awesome and a big mindset that we had in
1869s the end game as we're making adjustments
1871s and improvements accordingly is that we
1873s really don't want to break too much of
1875s what you guys have
1878s done our main direction through
1882s development to tweak and modify and
1884s refine most of this in-game content is
1886s to build on top of instead of try to
1889s like take away and reformat
1892s okay so here as a really simple example
1895s as I've mentioned for the rift we've got
1897s three of these Rift stages completed had
1900s we not had the resolve at the end of it
1904s then we could have still kept going on
1906s this is actually to lighten that load
1908s especially if you're trying lunacy 500
1910s for the first time and you're able to
1912s stabilize yourself you're just not able
1913s to get the right kills right you would
1915s still move through the stages
1917s accordingly
1919s you just wouldn't complete each
1921s individual stage so it grants more
1926s leeway and we very much wanted to do
1928s that to Grant more leeway as things move
1931s forward as opposed to take their things
1933s away now this last location might have a
1936s little bit more to talk about let's see
1938s what we
1942s get and yes modifiers are cumulative
1945s through the rift stages
1948s ah it's really a destroyer okay uh
1951s Quantum mend all right so what is
1954s quantum mend periodically teleports to a
1957s random location and starts repairing
1959s until he takes damage
1962s again well that's completely new this is
1965s a boss modifier
1968s um all of the rift bosses will now come
1972s packed full of having one of these
1975s Quantum mend uh it's going to be kind of
1977s similar to how um the Clone that you
1980s encounter spoiler jumps away from you
1983s whenever you are uh dealing with a dox
1986s situation spoiler
1988s spoiler kind of operates like
1999s that let's see if he does it oh there he
2003s goes but you can see where he goes with
2007s the particle effects that we've applied
2009s we want to make sure that no matter what
2011s is
2013s occurring that we're
2014s telegraphing why it's occurring how it's
2017s occurring you know all those fun
2019s things got
2031s them so now let's see what happens
2035s next new boss types A yeah
2039s yeah there's a slew of different enemies
2041s that can be considered the boss type
2042s that you will encounter at the end of a
2046s rift and depending on the modifiers
2049s maybe more than
2055s that so now we see that the requery has
2059s dropped uh we also see tear of the mat
2062s here I'm not sure if that's intentional
2063s or not L but we see this Relic quary we
2068s we go up to it it says open so we've now
2070s unlocked it so as we do that oh look we
2073s got
2075s ritual we've got a new legendary and it
2078s comes with a slew of other items
2080s according to that lunacy level we
2082s completed now we were at lunacy 200 so
2084s the contents here probably shouldn't be
2086s too
2087s surprising so let's go ahead and just
2089s we're just going to use it cuz yes you
2091s know and we'll just go ahead and scrap
2094s this stuff because we're we're moving
2096s forward Bonk thank you for your
2103s service that's how the Rifts are largely
2106s getting changed from our previous
2109s format where it's just oh you do a rift
2112s and random stuff happens then you have
2114s the boss and depending on how difficult
2117s it was you get a legendary or not right
2119s we've added these additional
2123s systems these reliquaries from the
2126s incursion events to not only find more
2130s specific legendaries but also to refine
2132s the legendary items that you
2140s have so let's just uh drop in here look
2143s at some ships really quick and then I'm
2145s going to see if I've got coms with Gary
2147s if not I'm just going to pull up the
2148s questions that have been cataloged and
2150s we're going to read through them and
2150s we're going to answer some questions
2152s real
2154s quick oh yeah oh I like I like that I
2157s like that look a lot just paint it like
2160s a deep blue and you've you've created
2162s like a manta ray shark
2165s thing uh-huh yep so lots lot of new
2170s little things to play around with when
2171s it comes to
2173s um modules for the
2176s ships keep going down
2179s here it's very much reminiscent of uh
2183s the Firefly class vessel from uh the
2188s you know show called Firefly I like
2193s that I think some of these were still
2195s the same that that first one though
2197s that's the new rotated one I like that a
2198s lot all right let me uh pull up the
2202s questions we have cataloged start
2204s running through them for you here why is
2207s my sound dipping out like that hang
2210s on uh disabled there we
2213s go so we can stare at this vessel and
2216s I'm going to answer some questions
2219s so the first question we've
2226s got one more second just seeing Gary are
2230s you
2232s there
2233s nope dang it

2239s right the first question comes from Fred
2242s spec vet concerning the nightmare
2244s difficulty rebalance is the later on
2246s version of nightmare more nightmarish or
2248s about the same um well what we wanted to
2250s do with this is make Nightmare truly
2252s feel much more challenging than hard
2255s it's meant to be not just a step up but
2258s several so the rebalancing of that
2261s nightmare curve through does make it a
2264s greater challenge um it's not going to
2266s be super crazy like if you want that I
2269s mean you're doing your The Very extreme
2272s um incursions and you're also taking on
2275s legendary high-risk areas
2279s huh we haven't talked about that yet and
2280s we're also talking about doing maximize
2283s Rifts of 1,500 or higher all the way up
2286s to that 2,000 lunacy
2289s Mark so we had a lot of considerations
2293s to make sure difficulty didn't get too
2296s ridiculous while also making sure if you
2298s want that it's
2301s pursuable next question comes from
2302s sorine Teton so unlike Rifts incursions
2305s are subject to the difficulty your
2308s playing on yes and no so the way that we
2312s have it operate is that we want the
2313s incursions to always be a much greater
2316s challenge as a whole if you're choosing
2318s that third tier um the easy incursions
2322s though I mean yeah that that one's not
2324s going to be so much affected still
2326s consider it more like a the balancing
2328s regards that a standard incursion is
2330s going to be more like a um hard
2334s difficulty setting okay whereas when you
2337s go to to that maximized setup um it's
2340s going to be much more like you're
2341s playing on nightmare furthermore the
2344s only way that you're going to get those
2345s reliquaries that are radiant much like
2347s the one that I got at the start of the
2349s stream is by doing those High those
2352s extreme challenged incur incursions all
2355s right so uh it's going to be incredibly
2357s rare if not impossible to obtain a
2363s radiant whenever you're doing the low
2365s incursions okay
2369s next question comes from chatwi are
2370s incursions scaled to player level or
2372s location
2374s level
2376s um the incursions are mostly an in-game
2381s event and they are I am pretty sure that
2385s they just take into account of the exact
2387s level you're at um I say pretty sure
2390s because I'm actually going to need
2392s um a coworker to help me out on that one
2396s because I know that
2398s the great intent of incursions as you
2400s all know is basically your max level um
2403s but I'm I'm pretty certain that we did
2406s Infuse that sort of um gentle cap of

2527s that we had a number of discussions
2530s about internally and I might I might
2533s even be overstepping there it might not
2534s even be that of a 500 lunacy um but um
2539s we wanted to make sure that they're
2540s still providing a great challenge uh
2544s since you know they're optional events
2548s and they can reward you rather greatly
2551s so it wouldn't make sense for us to just
2552s like have you get tons and tons of
2554s legendaries in all cases everywhere and
2556s you just don't have to do didd squat to
2558s obtain that like we still want there to
2560s be effort that you're pouring into that
2562s um so they've been designed in that
2564s sense uh while still allowing riffs to
2567s have that maximum distinction of
2569s difficulty
2572s setting so good question excellent right
2576s switching over to Twitch this time and
2578s steiny no would like to know are
2581s incursions possible on all locations and
2584s if yes will'll be able to will sorry it
2586s will be available on control locations
2588s where you can be wanted and how
2590s incursions would happen while being
2592s wanted the followup with that is will
2594s every enemy focus on you or will there
2596s be some fighting amongst themselves so
2599s the way that incursions operate is that
2601s they are going to generate basically
2603s anywhere in the known DMZ that can be
2606s random locations but it's primarily
2608s going to be um these points of interests
2611s that you have ventured to before like
2613s this crash site for example or the
2615s abandoned jump gate or rhyme gate or the
2618s orot or orc orcot trading
2622s station or the Bri bioplant etc etc and
2626s whatever presence is there will also be
2629s contesting the incursion be them Friend
2632s or Foe you could use that to your
2633s advantage or get screwed by it you have
2636s to take a little bit of care and caution
2638s on that front just because if you're
2641s doing one in Drake and you happen to be
2643s helping protect uh you know the zilia in
2646s a certain sort of way that doesn't mean
2648s they're just going to join up with you
2650s and be like oh nope it's all totally
2652s cool let's handle this first they're
2653s still really ticked off about what you
2655s did during those gang wars all right
2657s so there's a subtle sort of Allegiance
2661s there but there's not full-blown
2668s uh right sticking with twitch uh and a
2670s question from Flory you would like to
2672s know does the uh poent percentage of the
2674s shields of the beacon that they lose
2676s scale with the type of the enemy like do
2678s you get uh more for killing an overseer
2682s or a less for a drone yes absolutely we
2686s wanted to make sure that that feature
2687s was um applicable to the balance of it
2690s all we didn't want somebody just poking
2692s out a bunch of drones and then taking
2693s out the shield like if you take out a
2695s couple of drones it'll take out a little
2697s bit of The Shield Shield if you take out
2699s a much larger vessel it will take out a
2701s much larger chunk of the
2706s shields uh Fred spec on YouTube now
2709s would like to know is The Relic that has
2711s a 10% chance to restore Shield hit
2714s points on damage does it take into
2716s account fast and slow
2720s weapons my guess is probably not it only
2723s cares about the initial impact that's
2725s not something I've specific
2728s uh looked
2730s into but um the way that most of our
2735s reliquary benefits are going to operate
2737s is going to be exactly as the text uh
2740s implies so when it's talking
2742s about 10% of the shots that means like
2745s if you were if you got hit by a scatter
2748s weapon then one shot out of 10 even if
2751s it was like a single shot from the enemy
2753s one of those is going to repair you
2755s while the other nine damage you for
2759s example so it's not really going to care
2762s how fast that projectile hit you at it's
2765s just going to care if it hits
2770s you nice nice right sticking with
2773s YouTube again uh switching to typed
2775s Kibbles uh they would like to know how
2777s are these incursions related to the main
2779s story around what point in the story
2781s will they start appearing oh yes I
2784s that's a fair question and um to just
2786s kind of keep it brief this is something
2788s that we want you guys to explore and
2790s discover yourselves um so to answer that
2792s I will say that there would have to be
2794s some sort of reason for them to start
2797s popping up all over the place which I
2800s think will be pretty well
2802s connected with the various things that
2805s you do through the main campaign story
2807s and I'm sure I'm rather confident in
2809s fact that most of the Chatters right now
2812s have a pretty good sense of why these
2815s may start uh occurring in the first
2818s place I'm going to go ahead and do
2820s another incursion while we're still
2821s going to answer questions cuz I want to
2823s show more so Gary keep them coming no
2826s worries no worries right switch into to
2828s Twitch uh chaty would like to know do
2830s you lose the requery if you fail the
2833s rift a that's a beautiful question the
2835s answer is no it just comes back to you

2851s without star forged versions they've
2853s been looking for the Strat cumulus uh
2856s shield Star forged for months for months

2874s have not refined any aspects of say like

2884s it's a unique item like we still have
2886s that reserved for um improvised
2892s crafting but um I'm rather confident if
2895s you're looking for more star Forge

2899s equipment you're going to find it a
2901s healthy bit more if you're taking on the
2904s higher grade challenges through
2905s incursions through uh Rifts and even
2908s through highrisk
2912s areas we're getting too far away from

2922s worried about stat blur feature creep
2924s and possible confusion uh for people not
2927s understanding how the new reliquaries
2929s work oh of course absolutely like I mean

2934s it's part of the reason why we do these
2936s streams um just to help clarify those
2938s details as much as we can um you
2942s know power creep goodness there we could
2946s we could have such a long discussion on
2948s that as a whole it's something that the
2950s team uh feels very strongly about at
2954s times um I mean it's it's no different
2957s than when we look back at our armed and
2959s dangerous update and what that has done
2961s to a lot of the what we'll call Meta of
2963s the late game um it is it is very UNC
2967s common to actually have a build like
2969s mine where you have non set items being
2972s used here okay like if this was if this
2975s was a like decently minmaxed build all
2978s of these would be set items and we
2980s recognize that um we have gone in and
2983s we've tweaked a couple of values here
2985s and there it's not anything crazy um
2987s nothing to like really write home about
2989s but just to try and level that playing
2990s field to make things a little bit easier
2992s for those who don't have set items built
2994s out um while still retaining the set
2996s item values across the board so you're
2998s not really going to see any difference
3000s if you're using your set items the way
3002s that you are if you're not using set
3004s items it might be a little bit stronger
3006s when last you
3008s played so but overall um if it's fun for
3012s people to use we want to keep that and
3015s we don't want to make something way too
3017s powerful to make something else no
3018s longer fun um so there's been a lot of
3020s intentionality to the new legendaries
3023s that have been added on that regard as
3024s well as um how combinations of
3027s legendaries and set items and all that
3029s fun stuff does come together and then of
3032s course we have the Relic quaries that
3033s say we don't really care just have fun
3035s by getting a ton of crazy bonuses to go
3038s up against challenges like lunacy 2000
3041s so I

3090s naturally is going to be the endgame but
3093s if you are starting a brand new game for
3095s example or you're picking up when you're
3097s halfway through it um there are those
3100s subtle tweaks and adjustments that will
3102s be able to help refine your build in the
3105s direction a little bit further while
3107s also of course providing a much greater
3109s sense of customization from the GetGo if
3111s you're still at the beginning because of
3112s the new modules at the very least it
3115s allows you to look more awesome okay
3117s okay so um so there are those aspects of
3120s it but it should be no surprise that the
3124s main point of this content update does
3126s Focus around the end game so it's not
3129s going to have this massive impact on
3132s players who are starting a new game it
3134s will have an impact but it's not going
3136s to be like gamechanging per
3139s se the most game changing it will be is
3143s for individuals who are just getting
3145s into level 15 range if you're not
3147s playing on nightmare there's a new way
3151s to find legendary items so there is that
3155s and I'll talk more about that in a
3157s moment or two but let's keep answering
3158s questions
3159s first okay uh all these little sees that
3163s we're GNA have there is so much there's
3165s so much guys so much uh twitch now with
3169s bage he would like to know are rift loot
3172s modifier percentages all fixed if ER was
3175s running a 2K Rift would the modifies be
3178s plus 500% or
3181s whatever I need you to ask that question
3183s one more time cuz I'm not I want to make
3185s sure that I'm UND cuz the the question
3188s is effectively
3190s like excuse me the question you're
3193s you're specifically if it's like um a
3196s certain type of reliquary then the then
3199s it's always going to have a certain
3202s percentage of loot quality bound to it
3204s is that how I'm understanding the
3206s question uh I mean bage if you're still
3209s in the chat if you want to clarify this
3210s a little bit further please do uh
3212s they've just put are the rift loot
3214s modifiers percentages all
3217s fixed okay so the generally speaking the
3220s loot modify the quality um is going to
3224s affect the drop at the end of the rift
3228s every time um regarding the fixed nature
3232s of it or not there are a lot of
3234s different factors that determine the
3235s loot quality every from if the uh
3239s everything from what the lunacy is to
3242s the various modifiers during the rift
3246s R to even the very reliquary you have
3250s infused to try and unlock in the rift
3252s itself so each one of these things is
3255s going to increase uh dramatically or
3259s subtly depending on those
3261s choices but if you were looking at like
3263s two exact Relic quaries back to to back
3267s one can't just randomly have
3270s 1,000% um loot quality and the other one
3273s be like zero like there is there is a
3276s dependence of the blessings that do
3280s impact the quality of the loot and
3284s perhaps that's maybe that's the question
3286s as a whole that's being asked and um if
3288s that is the case then the answer would
3290s be yes um but uh just trying to be as
3294s thorough as possible there to have that
3297s overarching
3299s understanding um yeah Biv did actually
3301s just put in the in twitch chat said the
3304s know the rift mods like no lock on or
3307s plus 55% loot increase okay yeah so
3311s those various modifiers throughout the
3313s rift they generally they'll have an
3315s Associated loot quality bound to them
3318s every time they're not going to just be
3324s randomized cool got another six
3328s questions we'll F through those um hesy
3332s did a little uh followup on YouTube
3334s regarding one of the questions uh is
3336s there any uh is there already a law cut
3338s scene for Rifts that you've already
3339s finished the story will incursions law
3341s be a separate kind of thing so there's
3346s definitely incursions lore uh that will
3350s reveal
3351s itself uh whenever uh things transpire
3355s to the degree that they need to um and
3359s there will be uh Gary you're in the way
3361s can you please move for a second please

3365s there will definitely be more
3366s information that you can Garner uh Gary
3368s you're back by the
3370s way nice nice um and it is bound to the
3376s story it's not just a story it's bound
3378s to the story that's transpiring overall

3386s the fully complete story that we have
3389s told that is not somehow getting reconed
3392s or changed in any sort of way whatsoever
3394s this is more of just adding onto because
3397s it's fun and it serves as a great
3400s platform to do more things and get more

3405s what a game should be it's fun so

3417s know are boss modifiers limited to
3421s riffs uh yes they are limited to the
3424s bosses within the riffs yes absolutely
3427s and there's a slew of them you're not
3429s going to just see the same one over and
3430s over I mean you will if you do tons of
3433s riffs but you know what I
3436s mean uh right next up we switching back
3439s to Twitch chat you again uh so what
3442s happens if some stages are not resolved
3444s in a rift do you lose a fraction of the
3446s loop quality bonus originally shown on
3448s the lunacy slider perhaps so oh goodness
3452s gravy um so it's to my understanding
3454s that it is going to impact your loot
3456s quality and it will actually change the
3459s chance of a legendary to drop so if you
3463s still make it all the way through the
3465s rift you're still going to get rewards
3468s but because you haven't completed those
3470s certain sections then there's going to
3472s be diminishing
3474s returns so all overall if you're
3477s approaching the riffs similarly to how
3480s they've been uh implemented as of right
3482s now where you're just completing them
3484s before your resolve runs out nothing's
3486s really going to change from that this is
3488s more of a safety measure a safety net if
3491s you will that if players are really
3492s struggling but they want to try higher
3494s lunacy um it allows you to still
3496s complete it but you're not getting that
3499s full reward since you're not fully
3502s completing it if that makes sense
3509s excent um right switching back to
3512s YouTube for the next three uh J panot
3515s again will the new modules be gained as
3520s blueprints yes yeah you will find the or
3523s wait no no not
3526s blueprints do they drop as blueprints
3528s that are then added to your module
3530s collection now I'm confused no
3531s blueprints are specifically the items
3533s that you get through crafting you cannot
3534s craft ship modules
3537s um goodness oh look at that what's
3540s what's that that's interesting um but
3543s um instead uh they drop just like the
3546s standard ship modules or colors do um
3549s where you're destroying various things
3552s they will be a drop that you can then
3553s utilize in your
3556s customization excellent uh just as a

3564s just dropped in onto YouTube says you
3566s won't get the legendary if you don't
3568s resolve all the stages thank you for

3597s reliquary consumed after finishing the
3600s rift yes yeah the re when the reliquary
3603s um is used in a rift and you meet the
3605s prerequisites the reliquary opens up
3608s it's gone you take what's inside of it
3611s um so as an example of this right here
3613s if we were to complete the lunacy at 300
3616s at minimum The Relic query drops outside
3619s of the rift we open it up and we take a
3621s primary weapon legendary item um and uh
3625s and The Relic war is gone

3633s on YouTube uh so if you got Easter if
3636s I'm playing on easy mode and I do an
3638s incursion it will be the equivalent of
3640s hard mode on nightmare mode it will
3643s definitely ramp up um in fact because

3652s but um this was something that we had to
3654s play around with balance and um it is to
3657s my understanding that similarly to how
3660s riffs the lunacy doesn't really care

3667s that in place so even if you roll down
3670s the difficulty all the way on easy and
3672s you're Max doing a maximum incursion
3674s event um there's going to be a challenge
3677s there uh like you are not playing on

3772s levels the lower the Threat Level the
3775s easier it's going to be the higher the
3777s Threat Level the harder it's going to be
3779s whether that's associated with the
3781s difficulty of your choosing down
3783s here it may or may not matter it's
3787s probably going to be influenced by it
3789s but I can guarantee you that riffs don't
3791s care about this they do not care about
3794s this difficulty riffs will always change
3798s depending on what lunacy you have

3857s rumors about how it's going to impact

3864s little potato PC or you know make your
3868s outstanding NASA computers just 50 times

3872s glorious guys n there's been so many
3875s people talking like they understand what
3878s Unreal Engine migration looks like let
3879s me tell you straight-handle
3888s fix all your problems nor is it
3891s magically going to make ever Space 2
3893s look like it was released in 2035 okay
3896s neither of these things are true okay
3899s what is true is that our direction that
3902s we've to taken Unreal Engine 5 is to
3905s ensure it is stable and
3909s supported so what I mean by that is
3912s there should be almost zero difference
3915s for you coming from your previous
3918s position before the update and after the
3920s update it should operate almost
3924s identically now there has also been a
3927s number of individuals asking like well
3928s are you going to take advantage of any
3930s of the new features that unrel engion 5
3932s has and our answer has majority been
3935s probably not because that wasn't the
3937s intent of the move but I am pleased to
3940s say that there have been some healthy
3942s results of certain territories that
3945s ended up becoming a little bit better
3947s than not so one of those territories I'm
3949s going to show you by just a quick fly
3951s fly through here and just looking at
3953s some of these metal components if you
3955s will
3957s okay and just how they look and I'm
3960s going to do it again and I'm going to
3961s turn Lumen on
3964s okay some of you may see the difference
3967s almost immediately some of you might not
3969s because your eyes are going to get
3970s adjusted to it and that's okay when you
3973s get used to something over and over
3974s especially if you've played this game a
3976s bit might not seem like there's a
3979s difference but the setting is alive and
3982s well
3987s and what this does for anybody who's
3990s kind of wondering like well what is
3991s Lumen exactly basically what it does is
3993s it says oh there's light sources that
3996s means there's Reflections and those
3998s Reflections are now cataloged to fill
4001s the space of how like metal works for
4004s example giving greater glows and
4006s highlights to where light is actually
4008s hitting while creating greater Shadows
4011s where light's not present at
4013s all now again I'm doing this and some of
4016s you might be able to tell some of these
4018s difference near immediately and others
4021s of you are just like no I I don't see I
4023s don't see anything at all like let's
4025s actually let's look at this really quick
4026s see the ship reflected right in there
4028s this might be a good example right in
4030s there let's change this we just turn
4032s Lumen directly off look at look at that
4035s you can see there's a very distinct look
4038s now a huge difference and how this
4043s information I'm not dying I swear and
4046s and how it is cataloged and how it's
4047s being reflected where this is more like
4049s oh there's some bars there we're going
4051s to make it you know this is all super
4053s glossy look at that it almost to a
4055s degree one could argue it looks maybe a
4057s little bit plasticky honestly uh all of
4061s my co-workers I'm not crapping on our
4062s game I think we've done a fantastic job
4064s Lumen can do some really remarkable
4067s things I'm going to turn this back on
4068s one more time where now you're seeing it
4070s has a much more metallic feel because
4072s the light sources it is capturing are
4074s from all of those flections and proper
4077s angles it's part of the structure
4080s now this
4084s feature is not
4086s required to play the
4089s game it is a bonus because we upgraded
4092s to Unreal Engine 5 should you desire to
4094s test it out and see how it operates have
4097s at it I'm going to fly around with Lumen
4100s see how it impacts the stream it
4102s probably will because it was a little
4104s bit more demanding on my computer than
4105s not but you know we'll see what
4107s happens but ultimately it's not going to
4110s have like this super crazy lifechanging
4113s impact for most players for those like
4116s super like crazy dedicated among you who
4118s want that hyperrealism and all things
4120s yeah you're probably going to notice a a
4122s pretty good difference honestly so U
4125s depending on where you're coming
4127s from this can be something really cool
4130s to look into and explore again you don't
4132s need it at all and it comes uh the game
4135s comes default off so you don't have to
4137s worry about

4147s going to show you a couple of
4148s screenshots in addition to um what I've
4152s just shown you here cuz I really want to
4153s I really want to highlight this as much
4155s as possible cuz for some people this is

4160s highlighting this because we think it's

4184s on and remember the main difference this
4187s is Lumen that's off we just have like
4189s the metallic structures there they're
4191s like reflecting specifically on what's
4193s against themselves the light sources are
4196s generated right Lumen is now saying oh
4199s hey because this light is reflecting on
4201s all these other uh parts and pieces that
4203s are metal or plastic or whatever the
4206s heck they're made out of or there's an
4207s illumination going on you can see
4210s there's a pretty Stark difference in
4213s this shot where the metal the
4216s reflections highlight a lot of these
4219s territories that are closer to the
4221s lights and if you're looking deep enough
4224s you can see the Shadows are actually
4226s in a way getting darker because of how
4228s that light's hitting right so I'm going
4231s to go through a couple more of these
4232s just to kind of show I mean we were
4234s right here but just to kind of give you
4235s another example here this is with Lumen
4239s off this is with Lumen on and I know
4241s that there's a black border around it
4243s I'm doing this to give you the exact
4244s shape of the image okay so this is

4256s downwards how that's changing the way
4259s the light is hitting and spreading out

4263s volume here's another one I'm a big fan
4266s of this look at the um the gas canisters
4269s on the right side in particular like
4271s this you can definitely tell everything
4273s exists it's present it's there the
4275s Shadows look you know to a degree maybe
4277s a little bit artificial but you can tell
4279s what the structure is right like it
4280s looks really good and we're really happy
4282s with your results this is what happens
4283s when you change to lumen
4288s the light the
4291s clouds everything is now impacting this
4295s brightening it up while you're also
4296s seeing the Shadows are actually
4298s darkening where the light cannot
4302s penetrate there's some incredibly Rich
4304s contrasts that can occur
4309s here all right now we're going to go
4311s through a couple more real quick this is
4313s with loomin off in a cave where there's
4315s light source is shooting out but then
4316s there's like these Darkness sort of
4318s things going on this is with Lumen
4321s on you're seeing much more of that light
4323s source appear there's a better angle of
4325s it okay those same light sources are
4327s inside here can you tell there's light
4329s coming out of it no because Lumen has
4331s turned off here okay this is just a big
4333s dark hole that you're meant to go
4334s exploring so we're happy with the
4336s results but let's add Lumen to it oh my
4340s gosh there's light in there and it's
4343s reflecting off those metal panels we can
4345s see that there's
4346s something around the corner that's
4348s giving off light look at that look at
4351s look at that difference ladies and
4352s gentlemen look at that so if you want to
4354s go uh around and play with
4357s Lumen definitely encourage you to do so
4359s here's another really nice example with
4361s just this fire effect and how we're
4363s getting everything kind of illuminated
4365s but then we have Lumen that's focusing
4366s in on the fire
4368s territory look at
4371s that light at the end of the tunnel oh
4373s my
4374s gosh and last but not least I've got
4376s this one a lot of metallic structures of
4380s course you know this is the natural look
4381s that we've always used and we are again
4383s really happy with these results and then
4385s lum's like oh you know
4387s what uh hold my what's the what's the
4391s drink that El drinks all the time crap I
4393s can't
4394s remember um what it's called hold my
4397s daquiri and Lumen like
4401s pow just look at that it's crazy MH it
4404s goes from yeah this is a metallic
4406s structure and everything's made of metal
4408s to yes this is understood to now wow
4410s there's a cohesive hole and the light
4411s sources feel like this is a natural
4413s product of actual um uh environmental
4418s properties it's pretty
4421s cool yeah I know I know you've mentioned
4423s it already but please remember folks
4425s this is an additional option it's not
4428s something that were mandatory enforcing
4429s on any player or anything like it's just
4431s a nice addition that we could put into
4433s the game and it does look brilliant but
4435s obviously if uh if your system struggles
4438s with it then it's better about being on
4440s any normal standard Global illumination
4442s that we have yeah I'm like in in just
4445s preaching to that just a little bit
4447s further um I really want to to bring
4449s this home to make sure everybody is well
4451s aware we had no plans literally zero
4454s plans to implement any new features from
4456s Unreal Engine 5 so this is a bonus
4459s should you desire to try it out okay
4463s completely bonus material because we
4466s thought it was pretty effective but is
4468s by no means required for the full
4470s everspace 2

4921s possibility that different ship modules
4923s would give a different bonus to the ship
4925s uh of course small not to kill the
4927s balance it would be uh a reason for
4930s testing different
4931s customizations yes this was something
4933s that we had actually planned to do
4935s before we made any announcements of what
4936s we were planning to do um and uh the
4939s long and the short of it honestly wow we
4941s didn't get a lot of randomization there
4942s let's try again um the long and the
4944s short short of it is that we
4947s explored what that could potentially
4949s look like having Lumen on showing these
4951s ships actually I feel a pretty Stark uh
4954s difference here this is really nice um
4957s but we did look into that um and
4959s initially that was kind of the direction
4961s we wanted to move into um as development
4963s rolled along and for a great many
4966s reasons we actually veered away from
4968s it so um to go in and explain all of
4972s that would take a tremendous amount of
4974s time so the short answer is we were
4977s looking at that as an exploration a long
4981s time ago and we chose that that was not
4983s a healthy direction to take the nature
4986s of what we had in play for aage Space 2
4989s for the vision so a good question a good
4994s question nice nice um JR punchi this
4997s time on sticking with YouTube would like
4999s to know can you still use the base in a
5002s location that has an incursion and can
5004s you to of an incursion if you are not
5007s into it at that time um if I recall
5010s correctly we have the same uh setup
5013s where whenever there's like a side
5015s mission going on in an area that it
5017s locks space stalking until you complete
5019s it um so I'm pretty sure that's what we
5022s did for incursions as well I'm I'm
5024s pretty pretty sure so I mean it's not
5027s like any sort of dynamic system or
5028s anything like that it's more of hey
5030s there's a thing going on do the thing
5032s then when you're done when things calm
5034s down then yeah you can do stuff in the
5036s area um I think that now is a pretty
5039s good time to also mention um on
5041s incursions there is
5043s also there we go there's also a timer
5046s associated with them um so if you're
5048s looking at this you'll see under
5050s missions it says event six minutes
5053s remaining after six missions after six
5056s missions after six minutes the incursion
5060s event will basically have been beaten
5062s back by the gmbb forces at Al station
5066s here and it will dissipate it will be
5068s gone um and so if you show up after 6
5071s minutes here the incursion is not
5073s present and you all things would be
5075s operating as normal so that's going to
5078s be how this works so like if you're
5081s heading to Prescott Starbase and you're
5082s like I need to do this thing I don't
5084s want to do an incursion and an incursion
5085s pops up in Prescott at worst you're
5088s going to have to wait like 6 minutes or
5090s you could probably finish the incursion
5092s in less time than that um so we did take
5095s into account that we the way that we
5097s implemented this is that we want to make
5098s sure that we're honoring the players
5099s time and commitments so that we're not
5102s injecting this when you don't want to do
5104s things which is why we were very careful
5106s about those timings so that way if you
5108s want to do one you have enough time to
5109s get there if you don't there's not a lot
5112s of time to have to wait you there's
5114s plenty of other things to do in that
5116s middle ground format um that was
5118s important to us in this design um since
5122s imagine if the incursion was stuck there
5124s for like an an hour or indefinitely
5126s until you dealt with it we just we
5127s couldn't go that direction it just that
5129s did not it wouldn't have felt good it
5131s wouldn't have been good
5133s so safety measures and precautions if
5136s you will uh interjected into that space
5138s to take care of you
5139s guys there's a lot more information than
5142s the question initially asked but there
5143s you
5146s go excellent uh people would let you to
5149s hydrate so if you would mind taking a
5151s sip just to ease your throat

5162s YouTube uh will boss modifiers come to
5165s legendary hras in the future maybe uh
5168s there's not really a plan to do that um
5171s the way that we want to the way that
5173s we've designed the end game we've re
5176s refined it um is that you know initially
5179s in the build you guys have access to
5180s right now let's use this as a reference
5182s point if you want a challenge you're
5186s going to take on a
5188s rift the end that that's that's the
5190s story right like you want to go do
5192s something crazy you do a rift if you
5194s want to go blow stuff up you do like a
5198s high-risk area or you do a job you know
5201s like a bigger job than because there's
5203s lots of different jobs but those are
5205s kind of like your two different options
5206s right you can like have your power
5208s fantasy or you can have your challenge
5210s right I am very well aware that like
5213s there's a number of you a very small
5215s number of you that still feel that the
5217s challenge isn't great enough I get it
5220s not really speaking towards you on this
5222s front you guys are just exceptional
5223s Bravo you're going to reap a ton of
5225s rewards for that but on account of how
5228s we wanted to ensure there's still proper
5230s balance in the in-game formula with this
5233s overhaul of that the riffs have been
5235s designed to make it more possible to
5238s complete for those who struggled right
5241s so now you have the different locations
5242s that you can still pass if you fail but
5245s you still get you know a handful of
5247s rewards just not the legendary and you
5249s can still open a relic query you just
5251s don't you know the there's these
5253s elements that are making it an easier
5255s entry point right so now the Rifts are
5258s no longer full-blown challenge mode but
5260s now it's also a pathway to unlock ingame
5262s content even if you are struggling in
5265s that territory right furthermore we've
5267s ramped up high-risk areas to a degree by
5271s these legendary elements so that there's
5273s more things to collect so you're still
5275s getting this more softer uh space battle
5278s formula in that mix but has purpose
5281s because who knows what that blueprint I
5283s unlocked was I have no idea I've never
5285s seen it before in my life and there's uh
5288s a little bit more to play around even
5290s beyond that these modifiers that are
5292s added are meant to complement these
5294s unique play Styles not to go overboard
5298s um kind of going back to another
5299s question that was asked about like the
5301s power creep everything we're adding is
5303s not meant to just take something and
5305s then multiply it by 9,000 right okay you
5307s don't have to worry about this it's not
5309s going over 9,000 instead we are adding
5313s more to these spaces to allow for both a
5316s greater enjoyment of that power fantasy
5319s and also a greater enjoyment of that
5322s challenge both of these things we're
5325s adding to we're not ramping up we're
5329s adding to
5331s horizontal growth as opposed to Vertical
5334s growth if you will cool there was a
5337s really big answer for that one but and
5339s maybe it's even answered multiple
5341s questions there but there you go lots
5343s and
5344s lots worri no worries right um next
5347s question uh both this came in from Jr

5353s on YouTube um you want to know what
5356s level are the legendary hras available
5358s in the game legendary high-risk
5361s locations can effectively start dropping
5363s once you reach level 15 it's going to be
5366s incredibly rare for that to happen but
5367s it is possible um they'll only get more
5370s accessible and uh more uh like higher
5374s loot pools um the you know higher level
5378s you get beyond that point um and that
5381s actually Loops into something that I do
5383s want to just share with you straight up
5384s is that I mentioned earlier in the
5386s Stream you can get legendary items and
5388s Equipment um outside of flying in
5390s nightmare mode and outside of being
5392s level 30 going through Rifts this is
5394s actually a direct tie-in to that so
5397s should you be venturing into high-risk
5399s areas at Superior level or legendary
5402s level even if it's just the superior
5404s level there is actually now a chance for
5406s a legendary item to drop difficulty
5408s adjustments not even
5411s needed so next question please uh right

5421s difficulty that you're playing on is
5422s that correct that is correct yes and
5425s that's intentional design as well like
5427s if you're looking for those challenges

5515s doing this is not meant to be some sort
5516s of seasonal expectation things like
5518s every fall free update Every Spring free
5520s update no no no no no no no no no no no

5528s we are dropping into the game because we
5532s can that that is literally the reason
5534s guys like I can't I cannot express that
5536s enough did we have to do this no we

5574s produce premium DLC and that is going to
5577s be an expansion to some story elements
5580s and it's going to be an expansion to a
5581s great many other things which you will
5583s discover more in the future when we can
5586s expand upon that

5596s regarding the H difficulty uh he says
5599s does that mean that when playing
5600s nightmare difficulty the H will feel
5603s easier than the game that you're
5607s playing the the it will feel feel easier

5616s nightmare mode and you're doing an H
5618s like a legendary H it's still going to
5620s feel like you're playing on nightmare
5622s mode
5624s um it might drop two legendaries what
5627s um so there's some added benefits of
5630s still playing a
5632s nightmare uh but as far as the
5635s difficulty really goes like it's still
5637s like hras are still applicable to the
5641s difficulty you've chosen whereas the
5643s riffs are applicable to the
5646s lunacy so there you
5650s go hopefully that's clarifying
5653s information on that cuz I know that was
5655s really specific but
5658s yeah so was that the last question what
5660s do we have more uh currently y was just
5664s asking uh future DLC obviously with the
5667s road map we're looking a lot further uh
5670s down the line so they was wondering if
5672s it still planned for this year um oh
5675s yeah when we have when they releasing
5678s details yeah like when when we get even
5680s remotely close to having news to share
5682s we will share that news right now um a
5685s big focus of us was like we just want to
5688s add stuff to deliver to you guys since
5691s we have this plan of action for the

5695s know turned our Focus to like hey let's
5697s just drop him some free stuff um we're
5699s really thrilled with that it kind of
5701s works out in our timeline to make sure
5702s everything come together um once things
5705s start coming together then we'll say hey

5713s can't do that right now even if we
5715s wanted

5881s all of those things your exposure of
5883s course um and you're getting all of
5885s those values directly on the screen for
5887s you and if you look in the lower left

5896s load your default settings to reset

6072s into it it was very complicated and we

6081s into account all of these other things

6085s and we went ahead and we did it for you
6086s all so um there's one little caveat to
6090s this just going to casually mention this

6101s custom input settings for your mouse and
6104s keyboard or even your hotas your hosas

6596s things my throat's feeling a lot better

6599s to cover two more points um just to make
6602s sure that it's not missed um so some of
6606s you all have uh just a couple uh have
6610s commented in various ways about
6612s legendary limits um this is actually
6615s being increased um so you'll see that
6617s we're in a tier four
6619s ship uh if everything would get out of
6621s the way there we go um and so that
6623s legendary um limit has been increased to
6626s three on the ship itself and there may
6629s or may not be a way to even expand it
6631s further which I'm going to let you guys
6632s explore and figure out
6635s yourselves um but I also have a couple
6638s weapons that I wanted to show um just
6639s because I think they're a lot of fun um
6641s if not a little challenging to use at
6643s least the scourge um but it can be
6644s incredibly
6646s rewarding this new scatter gun legendary
6649s scatter gun can seriously pack a punch
6652s because
6653s as you're charging the weapon it absorbs
6655s the damage that you are taking and the
6658s Damage that you are taking is then added
6660s to what projectiles will be launched
6663s from The Scourge if you Max this thing
6665s out and launch it you're basically
6667s shooting like a triple shotgun blast of
6670s not only uh energy damage but kinetic
6673s damage and then just the full force of
6675s its overarching damage um it's pretty
6678s cool again it's a little bit hard to use
6680s but it's a lot of fun um and I'm sure
6682s that there could be some incredibly
6683s clever ways to utilize this in close
6685s proximity especially for those who like
6688s that uh inyour face fighting style so
6691s we're going to go ahead and fly with
6692s this just feel it out we also have this
6695s one called the zerk
6697s Boomer uh this is a rocket launcher and
6701s this one uh the Rockets are equipped
6704s with a proximity sensor that triggers up
6706s to two Frost explosions along their way
6709s dealing damage to enemies in a 150 M
6712s radius and freezing them for 5 seconds
6714s explosions have a 6C cool down it also
6717s cannot be intercepted this is a unique
6719s modifier to I'm pretty sure all of the
6722s um legendary secondaries none of them
6725s can be intercepted they're all immune to
6727s that
6727s inherently
6730s so going to um showcase these a little
6734s bit at least where I
6737s can um we might not get a ton of damage
6740s from this but we're going to do it
6742s anyway just just to see if we can build
6744s it up for
6746s funsies so we're going to charge this
6748s thing up and as these guys shoot me if
6751s they are in close proximity at least
6755s they did not uh get me hit come on I am
6758s I am asking for you to hit me while in
6760s close range come on there we go that's a
6762s little bit that's a little bit more
6764s there wasn't a
6768s lot in a like a dog fight situation this
6771s weapon doesn't really get that much Boon
6773s to
6776s it much more effective In the Heat of
6779s combat with lots and lots of people
6780s shooting at you taking a lot more damage
6782s but once it gets charged up and it's
6784s charged up to a little bit when you fire
6787s it
6789s uh do we see any that were added oh my
6792s gosh I don't even see a single one that
6793s was added these enemies are too weak
6796s what a terrible
6799s example just going to destroy you
6801s because of your lack of
6803s of helping me stream or something I
6807s don't know um but uh whenever it does
6811s start building up it will actually add
6814s Stacks uh of the projectiles to it so
6817s it's not just a matter of it increasing
6819s damage it adds projectiles and it's so
6822s freaking cool when it Stacks uh this is
6825s also a hard place to show this example
6827s so you know what we're going to do the
6827s zerk
6830s Boomer he was too weak
6833s all right okay all right that's fine
6836s that's fair let's go do an incursion and
6838s do these same
6840s things let's go do another incursion
6842s another one I've done a lot of
6846s incursions uh any
6849s nearby that's good enough all
6859s right excellent
6870s I see the comment liking these new
6871s legendaries a lot I don't know if that
6874s was made as in just because those were
6876s really poor examples of their use but uh
6880s if you are liking them awesome hopefully
6882s I can show you how they're actually
6886s awesome so no worries
6898s goodness gravy guys are you hyped for
6900s this update or what I I feel like I've
6903s barely scratched the surface of what's
6904s coming honestly it's it's
6907s ridiculous goodness all of it for free
6910s right around the corner it's
6913s ridiculous why are we doing

6925s regarding the release obviously on
6927s Monday um just to clarify we are going
6930s to be across the board on all formats uh
6933s and all storefronts simultaneously so uh
6936s don't worry um nobody's going to be left
6938s behind as such So the plan is that
6940s incursions will launch for everybody at
6942s the same time yes and a great point to
6946s mention truly so thank you for
6948s that oh we were getting we were getting
6951s some really healthy charges there so you
6952s can see up top where you see armor
6954s absorbed Shield absorbed see that now
6956s it's 100% let me see if I
6959s can there we go look at all those extra
6964s projectiles so you can see how much more
6967s it St like in this case of all of these
6969s things going on it was relatively easy
6971s to get this thing maxed out so like dog
6973s fight situation not so much look at this
6975s weapon what it's throwing out now it's
6978s uh that's kind of scary I don't know
6980s what's going on with these three maybe
6981s they were I don't know they were a
6983s little uh nervous they were just like oh
6985s it's first time on stream I don't know

7234s randomly or the ones that spawned will
7236s be there forever until you you basically
7239s deal with them they will come and go
7241s randomly they will come and go randomly
7243s yeah absolutely we um we did want to
7245s gamify this uh for the convenience of
7248s the player um we don't think that it
7250s would be very beneficial if we lock you
7252s out of certain areas until you do the
7254s things um it doesn't feel healthy to do
7257s that so we're going to honor your time
7259s um going to allow you the flexibility
7261s and the choice um to accomplish them or
7265s let them Slide by oh wow we got two reic
7268s oh no we got we got a legendary signal
7270s decoder there we go that's what I wanted
7272s to see that's what I wanted to see um so
7275s just for the record legendary signal
7276s decoders um they drop kind of like a
7280s legendary but there's actually a greater
7282s chance for them to drop than legendary
7285s items themselves so these things can
7287s drop to give you greater access to
7289s legendaries without even going through a
7291s rift without playing on nightmare mode
7293s that's the Delight with these things
7295s okay so uh you can get them obviously
7298s through incursions but you can get
7299s legendary signal decoders from most
7302s sources there's a very low
7304s chance but you can acquire them from
7307s most
7309s sources so good good good stuff all
7312s right oh my gosh I just looked over at

7320s you may answer it just and I think it's
7322s just a point of clarification I think we
7324s need to stress um with regards the
7327s update to incursions giving uh the
7330s option to use three legendaries can you

7368s access the increase in the legendary
7370s limit and how specifically limited to a
7375s T4 okay so basically if you are using a
7379s tier one through three ship um this is a
7381s tier four ship if you're using a tier 1
7382s through three ship you'll have a
7384s legendary limitation of two um whenever
7387s you have a um whenever you have a tier
7392s four ship like I have here then that
7394s legendary limit is increased to three so
7397s you'll have one more added slot that you
7399s can apply a legendary item in and there
7402s is an
7403s additional
7405s unlocking of another
7409s legendary uh slot uh through some other
7412s means that I have yet to explain because
7415s there is way too much to explain and
7417s like we're over timetime guys like I we
7420s got to go like so um but the good news
7425s is that you're not going to have to wait
7426s around very long at all to figure out
7428s what those things are because it's a hop
7430s skip and a jump away uh in fact we've
7433s already said it a bajillion times but
7435s Gary if you want to remind everyone the
7437s folks at home when you will get your
7439s hands on this beautiful new content
7441s completely for free the incisions update
7445s will drop on Monday April the 29th 10
