I LOVE making maps for me and my friends to play on and we all enjoy playing big games. With this new change friends will be left out, ruining the experience. Is there a way to implement server settings before starting a server so its a player's decision if the server is laggy or not? Thanks for any responses.

Plan is to allow switching of islands to other players. Timing on this is still being discussed. Let me know how big of an issue this is for your groups so we can figure out when to get this work done.

Agreed that should be an option. Will make it so.

Which game does it break?

Good call out that maybe we can make that border during games a collision volume that you can’t leave.

The bigger islands are volcano and sand bar.

Sorry! It was a bug that introduced at the last second and we missed it. We often do a pass to flatten out terrain to better match the structural building grid, so walls sit on top of the terrain rather than inside it. Will fix for next update.

We confirmed an unintentional change to player movement and we're working on a fix! Sorry about that.

Yep you can build on the water.

There are reports that jump momentum has changed causing issues with some player islands. Updates will be posted here and on Trello.

Some players may experience a higher ping following patch v8.10. We are investigating.

Hey this was super cool! I shared it with the team. It's not something we expected or really thought was possible yet. Cheers!

This is planned. It's a bit complicated because the storm system needs to be adapted to how Creative works (multiple independent islands simulated on the same server.) So no ETA yet, but we'll figure it out.

Comment

So the reason is only technical. The higher tier structure variants actually take up a lot of valuable memory on all platforms. Remember the many various combinations you can edit a wall, floor, ramp or roof into? Each combination takes up it's own memory, and player-built structures are omnipresent in Fortnite -- they always need to be loaded and ready to go, because they can burst into existence at any moment.

That said, of course we want to make these available, and as we continue to improve Creative we should be able to.

Most of these suggestions are planned, so please bare with us as we continue to add improvements. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the suggestion. We definitely want to cut/copy/paste of traps and similar devices also. No ETA for this, but please hang in there while we continue to implement improvements!

This feature is planned, along with options for the other modifiers to BR. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sorry about that. Viewing other player POVs is a feature we'd like to bring to Creative servers in the future. Replay support is still "Early Access" in Creative, but our goal is to fully support all of the features you are used to.
