Description If you are using DirectX 12 and having issues playing Fortnite you can switch to DirectX 11.

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
  2. In the top-right corner, click on the initial of your Display Name
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll down and expand Fortnite.
  5. Check the box for Additional Command Line Arguments.
  6. Enter d3d11, and then relaunch Fortnite.

Note: In order to switch back to DirectX 12 you need to delete the command/uncheck the box.
