I’ve always believed that strong communication and building trust is paramount to making the world a better place, so I wanted to have the chance to talk with all of you about a change to the team.

I wanted to make this sticky post to give the community all the information we currently have regarding the issue players are seeing with mounts and skins being locked out.

First, the beginning. When we released our Hogger patch, a sneaky bug made it’s way in that prevented people from using certain Mounts and Skins.

We’ve since fixed that issue, mostly. Draft game mode (Unranked and Storm League) players are still seeing those same Mounts and Skins locked, preventing you from selecting your Hero of choice.

We are currently investigating that issue now, and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I wanted to take some time to address some concerns.

1. These items are not removed from your account. That means, things you’ve spent gems, gold, shards, etc on were not taken away. You still own those items, they are just locked from use at the moment in draft modes.

This issue was resolved as of Monday’s patch. If you are still seeing issues with Skins or Mounts being removed, you will need to go through Customer Support, as we do not have the ability to verify the content that is or should be unlocked on your account here.

If you are referring to the Ranked issues specifically, then we are currently investigating that as well and would just ask for patience while we try to figure out what is happening here, and find a safe fix that we can do. I apologize for this inconvenience while we work through this issue!

I am so sorry this happened but we are aware of this and looking into it. I appreciate any continued reports of this, and if possible when reporting this, can you let me know what Mount / Skin / etc. you are seeing as locked so I can make sure they all get restored properly.

I also want to confirm that these items are not “removed” from your account, but by the actions of a bug, locked from use. You should regain access to these items without any problem once the issue has been resolved.

I just wanted to pop in here and say there isn’t a coding limitation and that yes, we could make % based damage mitigated by Armor, but we don’t want to.

I feel baited lol.

Also to clarify, I was not the designer in charge of Deathwing (though we all had a hand in helping out with him), that was Kyle, who also did heroes such as Zul’jin, Kel’Thuzad, and Orphea.

For what it’s worth, I read these forums pretty much every day, so there’s very little that happens here that I don’t see.

As of the introduction of the Storm League Quest Line, the end of season rewards, in this case Portraits, are only awarded to those that have completed the 50 wins. I went back and verified this was consistent with previous seasons with the Ranked quest line.

The good news is 2020 Season 4 only requires 35 wins this time, which might make it a little easier next time!

It is intended that Role and Universe dailies will still require you to play an appropriate Hero to progress them in ARAM. Ranked and Unranked are the only modes that will progress all dailies, regardless of Hero selection.
