So, I’ve been playing the game on console for a decent amount of time and racked up a few wins and high kill games, but quit entirely cause of the hexfire. Sure, you can outplay it with better aim early game using other weapons, but the final circle is always just full of squads with maxed out hexfires just beaming you instantly (especially with no damage drop off and the incredibly generous aim assist). It’s like having three bastions in turret form that can move freely and chase you (for anyone that’s played overwatch).

On PC, however, the gun is decent but it’s not broken. The tracking is actually difficult so you can easily evade it and outplay people using it, at any stage of the game. So it makes sense that half the community say that the hex fire is broken and the other half say it’s fine. It’s just down to platform.

So, Ubisoft now have the choice of either nerfing it on all platforms, or making a slight disparity between PC and console and nerfing it only on console, but leaving it as is on PC.

Yes.

That is why I want the developers to take a look on aiming on console before nerfing the Hexfire. The Hexfire itself isn’t broken, it’s only broken on console due to aim-assist, horrible aim options, etc etc. If they fix that, then there probably won’t be a Hexfire meta.

If the Hexfire is meta, it would be best if they separated balance patches on console/PC, then nerf the Hexfire on console and leave it untouched on PC.

I completely agree that the aiming on console needs to be addressed before making major changes to the Hexfire if any. Luckily the response curve option and aim acceleration options should be coming soon!
