Be warned, this entire game is scuffed in almost every way possible.
It was squads, and no one had comms. During landing, we had one guy branch off from the rest of us. We push the Red Tiger for no reason, and there I get a slick shotgun kill (the only good thing about this entire game) before both of us died. We both ran off to the other guy, who is still alive, but 500m away, and we get ressed. I don't remember what happened after, but it was mostly normal with me dying somehow. I try to get ressed for 2 minutes before finally getting what I wanted, but I was only able to find a sniper. I got rushed and killed in less than 30 seconds. During my wait, we had to run 900m due to the collapse being non-circular. After a while, I was eventually ressed, but seconds before the guns I was going to get were picked up by my teammate, who was just ressed, so I had no guns. I checked 2 buildings, no guns. All I had was a shockwave and a ball. You can guess how that ended. More waiting, life #5 starts. I was able to find a shotgun just to get killed by a hacker (or at least that's what I assume, as he got several headshots on me in a row). To recap, I had 2 guns in 3 lives. Suddenly, I had what I would guess is food poisoning and I had to AFK to use the restroom, but it was occupied. I return, and play dead for a while longer. Showdown started without me expecting it, and my team kills the crown holder. I get ressed for my 6th life, and can you guess what went wrong this time? Because I was so excited to finally have 2 guns, I accidentally picked up the crown and died in less than 10 seconds. At this point, there were 3 or 4 squads left, and I was just hoping my last remaining teammate would end it all and grab the crown. 2 squads left, with it being a 1v3 with them having the crown. My teammate goes in for a 7th res for me, but he, before I res, gets rushed and this god-forsaken demonspawn of a game finally ends. Craziest part was that I wasn't even bottom frag on the team, I had 2 while someone else had 1.
Remember all of this happened in one game.
You know what I like to do? Game and meta analysis. This game showed off multiple flaws with the game, the most prevalent being respawn mechanics. I didn't put much emphasis on it because, frankly, there isn't much to talk about it, but there were very long gaps between respawns. The main factor of this is how you respawn: unless you get lucky and find a warzone that was abandoned less than 60 seconds ago or you are willing to take a 1v3 or 2v3, you don't. This isn't CS:GO where winning 1v5s are somewhat common, this is a game that does everything in its power to make your shots miss while making the fastest TTK weapon take 1500ms to kill, with most others taking 2-3 seconds. In a 1v2, you have to deal more 3x the damage as the other team combined to out-DPS them, which because of the slower TTK there are less ways to outplay your enemies as to give you an advantage. Even if you can isolate a single enemy, they can just run away with invis and regroup with their team. If you came here from my other post about respawns and were arguing that 2v3s and 1v2s are easy with good movement, no amount of movement can make the enemies deal a third of what they deal on average; you're just wrong. If you're like me and got respawned 6 times in one match, especially if your teammate got ressed before you, there aren't enough guns. Again, I had 2 guns in 3 lives, because buildings were looted and every gun dropped by deaths was fusioned off or stolen. I feel that you should at least get something, maybe a D-tap, when you respawn as to not make you defenseless if you get unlucky. One final thing that I've said before: Crown visibility is horrible. My suggestion is that a large crown-shaped hologram appears around the crown.
