This is coming from a 28 year FPS veteran (Wolfenstein 3D).

I've seen the Quake scene flourish and die, I've seen the Unreal Tournament scene flourish and die.

And it's always because of the massive skill-gap between the godlike players and the regular plebs.

It chases away new blood, and we need that right now on PC.

So if you're a good player, and you're only chasing wins, and you'll only squad up with other high-tier players.... you're probably killing the game on PC right now (before cross-play is activated).

I call on you to squad up with lowbies sometimes to keep the game alive.

It's very VERY understandably daunting for a new player to jump into this game. Help make them welcome, and see the game you love to be so good at flourish instead of wither.

Additional idea: How about we make like a time when it'll be a community event to Care Bear? Just among ourselves. Start small, but maybe like one hour per day? Maybe the mods of this subreddit could chime in? Or like one day or the week perhaps? Care Bear Tuesdays?

Hey there! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the new player experience. I've mentioned this on another post, but the team is working on some things to help improve the new player experience.

I've seen some discussions from EU and NA scrim players who had a similar idea to have a day where they squadfill for an hour one day to talk with other players and give tips. I personally think it is a great start. Although I can't share details yet, we have a project that is similar in line to this kind of idea. We'll have something to share soon!
