Pardon the language, but it appears that the Sniper shows the Lens Flare even after going invis sometimes. Specifically, it appeared to be there when the opponent was sliding:

To any looking to use the Sniper, perhaps try to swap weapons before using Invis, though that is a big setback when fractions of a second matter.
