I'm on Xbox One. From my point of view:
The Good
solid 60 frames per second
top notch look sensitivity settings, including very fast maximum look sensitivity cap, independent horizontal/vertical look sensitivity settings, independent aim-down-sights sensitivity, low zoom/high zoom
respectable move and aim feel. Default sensitivity curve feels good, even with a high look sensitivity setting. This was a big one
left stick and right stick dead zone settings
responsive input. When I press a button, an action is performed immediately without delay, or very little delay
better implementation of the closing "zone," where the buildings simply disappear as the "circle" gets smaller, as opposed to taking damage while outside of the play area which is common to other battle royale titles. Great idea
The Bad
lack of the "Legacy Thumbsticks" stick layout. This was a deal-breaker for me. I have always used Legacy Thumbsticks ever since I started playing console games way back when Nintendo 64 was popular in the late 90s. Game is unplayable for me without that stick layout, which is commonly included in modern console shooters. The Elite Series 2 controller can emulate Legacy Thumbsticks, but it doesn't work right and feels awful, and always strictly worse than using a game's built-in Legacy Thumbsticks setting
no FOV slider
no sensitivity curve options whatsoever
no unique button mapping options we don't already have access to with Xbox's "Xbox Accessories" app
average graphical quality
footstep audio cues leave me clueless as to where my enemies are. Especially concerning when inside a building with multiple levels
"Video" settings have exactly 1 option which is just Brightness. Perhaps the game devs have a plan to improve Video settings with the release of the powerful next gen consoles
Conclusion
Game feels decent and has a fresh perspective on the battle royale game mode. I appreciated that. Very good look sensitivity settings. Footstep directional audio cues could use some work, i couldn't tell where enemies were even though I could hear them moving around. A few minor drawbacks I could overlook, such as the lack of options under "Video" in the settings UI menu screen. All in all it felt like a missed opportunity, as the lack of a Legacy Thumbsticks setting is an automatic uninstall from me and anyone else who uses Legacy Thumbsticks.
