[2020] Positivity in the community

I normally don’t use in-game voice chats very much due to toxicity, both from my teammates and myself.

I queued into one game for the evening, expecting to play a quick round before bed. I was feeling good and said hey to my teammates, and they both returned greetings. As we drop in, one asks me, “so what do you do?” My response is on the lines of “I’m still in school.”

We play and die pretty quickly but for the few minutes we’re in the game they tell me about their experiences and advise me to stay in school. It was a rare wholesome interaction between total internet strangers that honestly was a way better experience than winning, even for the first time.
