[2020] After you stop moving, your footsteps' audio has a noticeable delay till it stops being heard.

[PS4] I was always paranoid someone is nearby till I realised your own footsteps have a noticeable delay till they stop being heard. I would momentarily stop for different reasons and still hear footsteps, thinking I had someone nearby, yet it's just my own footsteps.

I do not think this is because of my internet connection, would appreciate if other people gave me their opinion and if they also experienced this.
