Last epoch with an intel core i7 processor?!

Hello!

My gaming pc is kinda old and frankensteiny but I tried to keep up as best as possible :D
The weakest part/bottleneck is the cpu. I have a 920 but I looked around and got a cheap i7/980 which I will build in because why not, better is not possible though with this socket.

I dont care about graphics, will I be able to tweak the settings so the game doesn't stutter or is there no point in trying with this PC? Other stats: ssd, 16 gb ram and a 1050 ti.
