I haven't really kept up with their live streams and am curious if we should expect big overhauls or rebalancing of most masteries on launch. I'm debating waiting for the patch notes to decide which mastery to return to the game with I guess.

I think it's possible that trade will enable a lot of new possibly bizarre and niche builds, as you may be able to get your hands on weird affix combinations and items in general.

I think that's a really good point. People might be undervaluing the specificity of items that you'll be able to find in rares and exalteds at the bazaar.

Hey do you possibly have an estimate on how many builds you've played so far? On that note I'm curious, do you currently play LE a lot outside of the weekly streams or do you rather keep it under control to not burn out? I bet you've played the latest Poe league ;)

In LE? No idea, 100? I don't play as much as I'd like outside of my streams. I usually hop on for a couple hours a night. I've actually been playing OOT Randomizer for fun lately. Finally just got ISG working reliably.

So I assume that trying to balance CoF SSF against the bazaar is impossible? I'd be curious to know what kind of balance is being sought.

CoF SSF is already about 4x less optimal than CoF with full parties. but since leaderboards are separate it shouldn't matter in that regard.

With perfect gear distribution spread and coordination you could probably get up to about 3.8x. However we're talking bots playing with perfect information about all gear that drops. The additional time it takes to coordinate the drops, make the trades and organize the builds in general eats up a not insignificant amount of time. Then you each get different prophecies and won't always be completing the same content for your prophecies. So with very veteran players, I'll give you 3x at best. Average use case is probably 2x on a good day. I don't really have any data to back that up, I just think that the 4x suggestion is wishful. We can then balance the group find vs solo with a little more granularity by adjusting the difficulty scaling per additional party member. We aren't aiming for a 1:1 here though, a full party that is planned out well with people who work together should probably end up a little better than a solo player. Uncoordinated groups will probably be a little worse off than solo players.

We aren't really aiming for perfect balance anyways. It's a waste of time to get it just right. As you already mentioned, with leaderboards split, it shouldn't really matter eh?
