• Fixed a bug that could cause players to become stuck on the Victory/Defeat screen after completing a match.

Dragon Whelp

• Inspired by the card from Magic's first set, the Dragon Whelp pet is now available!
• You can purchase the pet in the Store, under the Pets tab.
• Please Note: The Dragon Whelp pet has only one rarity (it does not have unlockable visual upgrades or color variations).

Bug Fixes

• Players should no longer receive a "Network Error: Deck Validation failed." message when submitting a deck with Mirage basic lands.
• Food tokens can no longer be sacrificed to pay multiple costs (e.g. You can no longer sacrifice the same Food token to activate Gilded Goose's mana ability while also sacrificing it to gain life).

Gameplay

• Oko, Thief of Crowns, Once Upon a Time, and Veil of Summer are now banned in Standard.
  • Known Issue: Players will also see Field of the Dead listed alongside these cards as part of the in-game announcement. All four cards are currently banned in Standard.

• Adventure cards with card styles applied should now display text in the proper font color when on the stack

• Fires of Invention no longer prevents you from paying the casting cost of spells with ( X ) in its mana cost (you may choose to pay the mana cost or an alternative cost for spells you cast, even if their converted mana cost is less than or equal to the number of lands you control)

Updated Event Structure: 3 Wins or 2 Losses

Updated Rewards:

• 1 Win: 50 XP
• 2 Wins: 150 XP
• 3 Wins: 250 XP

Developer Notes: We hope these changes make the event feel a little less "grindy". Now, you can lose a game or two and still earn Mastery XP, and the event runs a little bit longer so you don't have to rejoin it as often. As before, both the Standard 2020 and Standard 2020 Ranked events have no entry fee and you can play them as often as you like until September 26 (at 4 a.m. PT to be precise).

Payment

• Real-money transactions will now take place within the game client. Players will no longer be directed to a secure website browser to complete their purchase.

BUG FIXES

• The avatar that you chose will now be displayed correctly to your opponent in Direct Challenge.
• The Mu Yanling sleeve will now display correctly.
• Pet will no longer re-enable itself after a player disables it.
• Fixed a bug that should address a large number of gameplay issues players have been reporting, including cards getting stuck hovering above the battlefield or on the stack and the Next/Resolve button disappearing.

• Weekly Win rewards have returned. Players will now earn 250 XP per Win, up to 15 Wins.
  • Weekly Wins reset on Sunday at 2AM Pacific Time.
• XP has been removed from the Daily Win rewards (previously 100 for your 1st win, 50 for your 2nd and 3rd).

• The reward structure and amount of wins required to win has been updated for Part IV and Part V. The distribution of prizes will be as follows:
  • 3 Wins: 1st Glass Style
  • 5 Wins: 200 Gold
  • 7 Wins: 2nd Glass Style
  • 10 Wins: 3rd Glass Style

Developer Notes: We've received a lot of feedback regarding the new event structure, and one of the things we wanted to change was players feeling "burnt out" by the amount of time it took to receive all of the prizes. We want players to feel challenged by these events and rewarded for completing them, but not at the cost of fun. The total rewards remain the same; we've combined the two Gold rewards into one (previously, you'd receive 100 Gold at 6 wins and 12 wins respectively), and lowered the total number of wins required to receive all glass styles (previously, you'd receive a glass style reward ...
