This might be too late for a response but does switching watches pause the progress of it? Mine died because I suck at warzone and don’t want to keep killing him.
It doesn't pause. I've been so busy lately, mine has died 3 times. Hit some core to keep it going. I have to check but Im pretty sure the contracts that you get in both BR and Plunder should count for gamemode points.

Mine has been stuck on dirty for the last 5 games which have been all wins. Also my bar is no longer filling even though I got over a dozen kill streaks
Close and restart the game might solve the issue.

Our ui team recently ported the realism field upgrade and killstreak indicators from realism to hardcore.
These are meant to keep the HUD clutter while reminding you they're ready.
At first I thought it was a Radeon problem only but it turns out Nvidia users have this issue as well. u/ashtonisvulcan_iw could you please acknowledge this issue?

I am unable to try this right now, apologies. I went to another game and since I started Modern Warfare back up I'm now getting a "Connection failed - unable to access online services" message.
I did manage to get into one game for about 40 seconds and it wasn't stuttering nearly as bad, but I got disconnected from MW servers with status: PLATYPUS before I could do anything with the Xbox menu.

I believe we have a fix for this coming in a future update. Out of curiosity, while you're in a match, can you try pressing the Xbox button, let it bring up the menu, then press the Xbox button again to close the menu and let me know if it persists?
I have. Still persists.
Edit: To clarify, this was recorded after a game restart and then console restart when that didn't fix it.
