Hello @patofet,

I’m sorry about the issue you’re having with the game crashing, in order to solve this I can recommend you to try the following:

  1. Run a Steam Integrity check. Steam Integrity Check.
  2. Completely uninstall and reinstall game if not resolved after an Integrity Check.

If that doesn’t work I can recommend you to reach us via player support using the following link: Contact Us | Amazon Games to create a support ticket and review your case in more depth.

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

  • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
  • Click on dxdiag.exe.
  • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

  • Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

If you need further assistance in any other issue please don’t hesitate in reaching us again!

Cheers!

Hello @patofet and thank you @Properso for your input,

I am sorry to hear you are having issues getting the game to run in Linux and on a Steam Deck. Unfortunately, neither Linux nor the Steam Deck are officially supported by us as we only support Windows on PC but we definitely recommend running this by other players for possible ideas on how to get it to work.

Best of lucks and see you in Aeternum! :wolf:

The typical problems we have encountered for Steam Deck are disconnects due to WiFi issues. These are typically Steam Deck issues, please make sure your Steam Deck OS is up to date.

Most of that information is here:

Key settings:
Enable dev mode
turn off WiFi power management
(depending on your router you may also need to turn this off in the router itself, search for WMM APSD aka “WMM Power Save” often mixed into QOS settings)

Some have had success changing their WiFi channels or splitting their 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz into two.
Some combination modem/routers like the Nighthawk C7800 dont have power-saving settings and are very finicky with IOT devices and Steam Deck.
