[2022] [Notice] Bringing in the Second Round of Server Transfer Tokens

Greetings Adventurers,

While we do not have an update this week, we are releasing the second round of free transfer tokens for everyone with an existing character in New World. We will be rolling these tokens out starting at 2022-02-15T22:00:00Z (in your local timezone).

If Valentine’s Day didn’t work out with your current Aeternum world, use this transfer token for a clean break or fresh start with a different world!

The Details:

Every active account as of 2022-02-14T23:30:00Z (in your local timezone) will receive a server transfer token.

These tokens are account-based which means that if you have multiple characters, you will only be able to use this token on one of your characters. You will only be able to use these tokens within the same region.

These tokens do not expire. If you have a previously unused token already in the store page, you will have two after the second tokens are distributed.

As a note, you should receive your token in the “World Transfer” section of the store no later than February 22nd.

We will also be marking some worlds as full in preparation of the server token release. You will not be able to transfer into this world, nor will you be able to create new characters while this status is active.

We are rolling out the server transfer tokens to everyone with an existing character created before 2022-02-14T23:30:00Z.

One thing to note:

If you had an existing server transfer token, only one will be displayed in the store due to the nature of how these grants appear in the store. However, your account will possess two tokens so once you use one in the store, you will still have an additional token available.

As a reminder, these tokens do not expire so feel free to hang on to it until you are comfortable using it. All eligible players will receive their token in the “World Transfer” section of the store no later than February 22nd.

Hey all,

We hear you on the availability of Midgard. Our intention is to provide a balanced experience for all players in all of our worlds. Because of this, we will be providing additional server transfer tokens to players on Midgard ONLY who may wish to transfer to a different world with certain conditions outlined below under the Eligibility Requirement.

This will be a one-time issuance; in the future, we will not issue additional tokens due to worlds that are full.

Eligibility Requirements:

• You must have been active on Midgard between 2022-02-14T08:00:00Z (this includes both recent transfers and players originally on this server) and 2022-02-17T22:00:00Z.

The Delivery Plan:

• Players who are eligible for this grant will receive a server transfer token in the store within 24 hours of this message.

To clarify this process, there is an system that currently marks a world as full once it reaches a certain threshold. In order to make sure you can continue playing with your friends and company members, we highly recommend scouting for back-up worlds if the world you are planning to move to is marked as “high”. This will help minimize the possibilty of running into a “full” world.

As a reminder, setting worlds to full does not stop queues from forming, but it is designed to protect folks already playing on these worlds from having to wait in extraordinarily long queues at peak time. This is something that can and will happen and players should consider this when making the decision to move a group or company to the same location. Remember, your token does not expire so do not feel pressured to change servers immediately.

The team is looking into design changes that may mitigate this going forward and we will keep the community updated as they are continuing to form.

Full world status will be removed from the following worlds within 2 hours of this post:
