I'm working closely with the dev team to record bugs and give feedback to the team today. I'll mostly be monitoring Discord but also checking back here.
The known issues news post will be updated periodically as bugs/issues come in, so if you do jump into any issues, let me know & make sure to check back every so often.
Hey Light, is there a full list of changes in the beta? The last newspost said "including but not limited to", and the FAQ doesn't list anything. Most of it should be immediately obvious, but I'd like to see what else could use testing.

Entity Highlights for NPCs (new to mobile)
There are many more features we'd like to add in but these are the ones currently available for testing!
Also, the Survey for feedback at the end will help guide us on the most important features that we should be enhancing or working on.
Taking ages to join beta?
It may be because it's taking a while to propegate. If you're currently unable to opt into the beta via the Google Play Store, don't worry - sometimes app updates can take varying amounts of time to reach everyone's devices.
Keep checking back via the Old School RuneScape store listing to see if the opt-in option is available.
The option is available, it's just saying "joining the beta please wait" for like 15 mins now
Sorry about that! I've passed this on to our QA - this has happened before in the closed beta but it is something to do with the google store. The only solution is to give it some time, it should work but will just need an additional waiting period. Super frustrating but I promise the wait will be worth!
When will this be available for iOS?
We don't have an exact date yet. The team originally projected iOS to happen a month after the Android Open Beta however this date got delayed and there are some uncertainties still so we can't give a date yet. We're still aiming to have a Beta for iOS though don't worry!
We'll be looking to share news on this either in a Gazette or another round-up summary. :)
Does this just mean that all Android devices now have the OSRS App with added features, similarly to Runelite?
If you've opted into the beta and downloaded the latest version, then yeah. I think some players opted in automatically, or from a long time ago, so they may not have realised that they've opted in and are now using the Android Open Beta. However if this happens you'll see a broadcast message when you log in telling you that you're on the new client.
No worries at all. Should I maybe close the osrs app whilst it's sorting itself out or just play and wait?
You can continue playing, the store just needs to sort itself out basically.Once you've opted in it's up to google play store to send you the new client to install.
Thanks it's worked now. Seems much laggier but I guess thats part of the fun of beta haha
I hope it improves :) I'm sure it will. But make sure that's noted in the survey for feedback linked via newspost if the issue persists. That's super useful information for the team to know and make improvements

I'm prepared for anything! :D Hopefully not but we know how these things can go with thousands of players testing this :)
Will there be a menu entry swapper for mobile?
That's a really highly requested feature but it isn't in the current set of features in the AOB. There's a player feedback survey which will ask what popular features you'd most like to see, so I would definitely suggest leaving your top suggestions there, as that will go back to the devs :)

Could we at some point be allowed to zoom out further and look top down like how the camera plugin works in runelite? Would work well with the new extended draw distance and make zeah rc way more comfortable.
If it's not currently a feature available we can certainly look into it. The best way to leave your feedback is via the player feedback survey linked in the newspost but I'll make sure to pass this on to the dev team :)

No - there should just be an update button once you're in
So, when fishing monkfish and you click the fishing spot if gives a weird yellow click instead of the usual red cross, intentional or bug?

Is it not keeping login information intentional? I need to type everything out and put in my authenticator every time I want to log in.
That's so inconvenient it takes way from every addition and makes the mobile client no longer worth using.

Please please please add ground loot tags and tag tabs. These are what I most miss when I play on Mobile. Bursting tasks and trying to sort out loot on the floor becomes a nightmare

I installed the beta, but I'm now struggling to open the app. Crashes before load screen every time.
What device are you using?
A Nokia 5
Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Your device meets the specs however there may have been a problem from when you updated the app.
