Nope!
does a greater demon task work on this bad boy or nah?
No 'regular' Slayer tasks should work on Yama, he's in a league of his own!
sooner than you might expect was a lie then. About to be in may with the only content update royal titans since november, mad
Yeah this one's entirely my bad, lesson learned to not even be vague about dates until we can really lock stuff in - can only apologise for getting peoples' hopes up, but the extra time for polish is already proving so worth it. Genuinely think it's an absolute banger of a boss!
I mean I'd rather wait longer and have a more polished, complete, bug free experience than you guys rushing it out for the sake of getting it out 🤷♂️
Appreciate that, but it was still absolutely a mistake for me to imply in a blog that it might drop sooner than folks expect, since the date we've settled on is closer to the end of Spring than the start - every day's a school day etc. etc.!
How many goblins does it take to kill 1 Yama?
Just the one, it's not too tough a fight at a base level, but imagine once contracts start getting further along that the number will increase significantly.
Can you confirm or deny that this is a boss?
in every sense of the word, he has a whole cult of disciples to manage too!
Is that Yama’s official design? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good design but I was hoping it would be a little more physically imposing like the concept art. His face in the official design doesn’t have that “I’m gonna f**king murder you” like it does in the concept art.
You'll have to wait and see!
I'm sure you don't want to make direct comparisons to other bosses regarding difficulty, but as somebody who's played this game for a decade I have no idea what "endgame" means, and I've seen so many different definitions.
Think our initial assessment of 'a step beyond Desert Treasure II bosses' is about right, having seen some folks playtest last week too. Tougher than Vardorvis, easier than awakened fights - contracts will be a level up from the base encounter though!
"Endgame" as in +90s combats and BOWFA/Sanguinesti/Fang level of gear, or "Endgame" as in fully maxed and megarares?
Tried to convince my friend to do it on release but he immideatly turned me down because "We don't have megarares" which just sounds dumb on his part ngl
Endgame as in, to comfortably grind it, you'll want the best gear available, but he's a demon so he's killable with demonbane weaponry - just that he's aiming to be fun for players who are tackling tougher grinds than say, PMoons or Vorkath.
/u/JagexGoblin, how is your day?
Busy, but good! Gotta make the most of a 4 day week!
Another boss I'll never get to because I'm still having trouble beating DT2.
:(
I believe in you.
