Looks like they've finished development on them but are still awaiting testing. Once they pass testing I can give a more clear date of when they will be released.
Acorn, could it be made possible to resell items from Farmer Gricoller's store back for a portion of the cost? It's possible with some other stores that have an unique currency.
I'll bring it up to the developers for a player suggestion feedback job and see what they say :).

People are using the current situation to advertise giveaways, double XP weekend, and other phishing scams. It's pretty upsetting to see someone take advantage of a situation like that to phish players, but we figured it's best to warn the players to be alert just in case.

You won't lose them if you don't spend them - they will carry over to the next league :)
Do they still need to be "collected" if we plan on not spending them?
Yes, you will need to "claim" your points if you haven't already before the worlds get removed. They were made claimable automatically shortly after leagues went out but if you haven't logged in to the league worlds since that update, you will need to log in to one before next week's game update.
