Sorry for not being around as much since moving to Production! I've been super busy ensuring development of game updates stay on track that I've not had a chance to really sit down and give social media my full attention. However, I've come back with a message, though it may not be the one you want to hear read so apologies in advance you lovely bunch!

It's been an amazing adventure at Jagex but today will be my last day.

I started at Jagex as an eager player wanting to make a difference for the game I grew up playing and it wasn't until I joined that I realised I wasn't just living out my childhood dream job but making really long lasting friendships along the way.

I've seen the team and game grow significantly over the past 4 years and I'm really excited to see what the future holds for the game I love.

While a new adventure awaits me at another company, I will definitely miss the Old School team and all of you! Especially all the memes....

Happy to explain! When changing the spiders to a non-attackable spider for the update, the spider was changed to a vampire spider which seemed fitting to the area where the tree is and it didn't have an attack option on it. However the developer didn't realise that the spider actually changed into a vampire when a player goes near it which then caused a ton of vampires to show up unannounced.

Can't give you guys too much XP/Hour now can we?! But seriously, this is being hotfixed now. Will edit this message when it's hotfixed.

Edit: This hotfix is now deployed. The vampires will take about 10 minutes to despawn completely but I'll go in game on my J-mod and kill a bunch of them for you all.

I've had the blog amended to reflect that any player that completed construction contracts prior to this week's game update will receive any extra points they would have gained if they did contracts now on upon login.

We are looking at alternatives to get this fixed such as changing the clue step to use different drawers mapped down in that house. This may take a bit of time as it involves changing clue code, mapping objects down, and changing the mahogany homes contract. In the meantime, as you suggested in your comment feel free to get a new contract and it should allow you to search the drawers to complete the clue.

You need to complete your current construction job, get a new one, and you should have those drawers searchable again. This was something we hotfixed shortly after the update went live. Let me know if this works for you!

The blog has been changed to reflect that the Fish Barrel can only be used to withdraw fish while at a bank so this will not be usable in things like Fight Caves and Inferno. I've added it as a changelist to the top of the blog.

It was mentioned on a stream that there are plans to have a pet with this skill boss.

The highlights are for removing and building but the stand and mirror is mainly for repairing. I'll add that as feedback for potential future changes!
