accounts name is: jamie6103

Hey jaxkxxxxxxx,

The account has been looked into and secured, as does appear that a third party were on the account at the time of the ban.

Please take a look at the hijacked accounts page of the Support Centre.

Hey ZombifiedAggripa,

Can I check that you have attempted to recover the account after the assumed hijack?

This would be the only way that you would gain access again. Please take a look at the hijacked account pages for the steps and advice.

Hey wereinatree,

If you haven't already received advice from us via Twitter, then all you can do whilst your account recovery appeal is reviewed is to make sure your secure your computer to prevent this from happening again.

However, if you've already recovered your account, this page has a lot of RuneScape account security tips. :)

Happy 'Scaping!

Hey God_Moe,

The best thing to do now is make sure you have 2 step authentication on your email address, and that you have recently changed your password on a different device.

they will not be able to enter the same Auth code you have, as it runs out after the 30 seconds. The bank pin will take longer, yet they must be able to gain access to the account to enter it.

Hey 5PTSGANG,

My crystal ball is a little rusty and murky, which means I cannot magic your display name out of thin air!

Without that info, I am unable to look into the account!

Mark's soon to be ex-CEO - it's all about Mod Pips and Matk for RS/OSRS these days!

Do Jagex have a plan to invest more into customer service? Since companies like Blizzard Entertainment provide a superior Customer Support system compared to Jagex.

If you've read my blog post (http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/Customer_Support_Blog_-_October_2014) you'll see that we have had quite a shakeup recently. We're not the size of Blizzard, and we put more time and money into the development of RS & OSRS to be honest. with our small CS team, we respond to almost everyone within 24 hrs (and over two thirds within 12). It's not perfect, our tools aren't great, we could do better, but we've made progress, I think

You guys should seriously consider reviewing false permanent ban offences as it has been proven multiple times that sometimes you are wrong with permanent bans, even though on the page about them you are extremely confident that they are all 100% correct.

please see my response to sailorgalaxy above - that covers it for bot bans. We also review every other perm ban/mute daily

How many false bans do you actually resolve? I know a lot of people are always on here saying they were falsely banned and all.

I also see many people claiming false bans - some think what they do isn't against the rules, but it still is botting, as for the rest - 99.999999% are correct - we check them daily to catch any mistakes, and remove bans - it's very small in number because we find that our systems are incredibly accurate.

Cheesydude - we'll certainly take a look! I'm not sure I want to open another channel of contact - we're a small team, and it's best if players can come to us via the support centre - http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/Support_Centre

we have, and do. On a more general point, we're putting more effort and resource into detecting hijackers, and hijacked accounts than ever before. There's still a long way to go, but we're getting there

Why don't Jagex offer compensation membership to players when it is impossible to log in to the game as its not our fault, yet we still lose multiple days due to server disruption?

If our servers caused the issue, we would consider it, but I think you're referring to circumstances beyond our control and not of our making. Also, to my knowledge, servers/worlds haven't been down for days, rather minutes?
