Definitely some similarities in the overall sentiment, but it's worth remembering the actual state of things back then.

What we've implemented with Outfit Wars is actually creating fights, massive, sprawling, multiple-base hotspots around the map, with far less lattice stagnation than we've seen in the past few years. That's something to be proud of, and the game as a whole has become more alive as a result. Compare that to WDS pre-season 2, where there were practically no fights at all because everyone was running circles around the map with literally no resistance, not super healthy.

The reason this has some positive repercussions for the game is because we did take player psychology into consideration. It's pretty clear we've answered the "why we fight" question for competitive players with Outfit Wars; the bad thing is that the way it's being done is toxic Outfit to Outfit. We'll certainly make changes in the future, and we've got some solid id...

I made a post about the 1v1 training room, and messaged a dev and got a response; so there is hope.

But I don't know if it is still on their radar as a planned future addition for the sanctuary. I know there is a lot of things they plan to add to the sanctuary first, so it will be late on the list, if it is on the list at all.

Also there is a whole lot of chaos going on right now with organizing events, outfit wars, figuring on what on earth is going on with the servers, and several bugs; so RPG has ...

Broadly speaking, there are a lot of plans for ideas like this in Sanctuary (and Koltyr). Some of it were still scoping out, so I can’t share dates (yet), but you’ll see additions with pretty much every monthly or major update going forward.

I will say OW and the events we’re supporting have very little impact on our development roadmap; same goes with our NetEng team working on server optimization. The design team working on future content are separate from those things and their work continues uninterrupted (despite some understandable hurdles related to the current work-from-home restrictions).

First off, thank you all that you both supporting us financially or just continuing to play each day/week/month.

Because of this, we're in the process of to posting new job openings soon for Rogue Planet Games to further support PS2

Seriously, I can't begin to thank you all enough.

Just asking, the thing about one shooting bastions with OB is still a thing? I don't see 6 of them lasting alive for a while if that's so.

That’s up to the organizers, but regardless of the rule set, we’re leaning into more fun spectacle over serious competitive event (e.g. if Bastions go down too fast we’ll spawn new ones).

It should be pretty balanced tho.

Why can they not ram into each other? No collision boxes? I would love to see ramming speeds

Vehicle physics are most definitely not my specialty...I don’t think they’d break the game, but it would definitely not look great.

We’ll get there at some point :)

As someone who needs to track down BSODs for their day job, I empathize with this point so hard.

Thanks guys - like I mentioned above, I know it’s not a ton of information to share. Hoping to have more insight next week, if we see that the server config changes we made (hopefully) improve things over the weekend.
