Community note: When we release Pokémon GO Trainer Battles, we will be rolling out the feature in stages, starting with level 40 Trainers. We do this so that we can confirm the feature is running smoothly before we begin to release the feature out to more Trainers.

While improving your battle skills is its own reward, Trainers who practice battling against one of the team leaders can also earn rewards, such as Stardust, once per day! Battle wins gained through this training mode also count toward earning an Ace Trainer medal! [3/3]

Team leaders Spark, Candela, and Blanche are available at any time of the day, and Trainers who battle against them can change the degree of difficulty of their practice Trainer Battle by selecting different Battle Leagues. [2/3]

❗ #GOBattle update: Looking to improve your Trainer Battle skills but don’t have anyone nearby to train with you? No worries! When Trainer Battles launch, Trainers will be able to practice battling against team leaders Spark, Candela, and Blanche! [1/3]

With an additional Charged Attack, Trainers have the opportunity to think strategically when approaching each battle! Use your extra move to surprise opponents or cover your weaknesses! [2/2]

❗ #GOBattle update: Save your Candies (and Stardust)! With the launch of Trainer Battles, Trainers will be able to permanently unlock one additional Charged Attack move for each Pokémon! [1/2]

Keep sending those Gifts, Trainers! While Trainers will usually have to be nearby in order to initiate a Trainer Battle, Ultra and Best Friends can challenge each other from any distance! [4/4]

While in a Trainer Battle, keep your eye on the time! If you don’t knock out all of your opponent’s Pokémon before a battle’s time limit is reached, the victor will be decided by whoever has the most KO’s! [3/4]

Each Trainer Battle requires Trainers to choose three Pokémon to battle with, so be strategic when selecting the Pokémon for your battle party! [2/4]
