How many Lucky Pokémon do you have so far? Professor Willow has unearthed another discovery related to the nature of Lucky Pokémon, and now trades that result in Lucky Pokémon are more beneficial to both Trainers!

The nature of Lucky Pokémon remains the same: the more time a Pokémon spends in a Trainer’s Pokémon storage, the higher its chance of becoming a Lucky Pokémon when traded. Starting now, if you trade a Pokémon that has spent time in a Trainer’s Pokémon storage since July 2016 to August 2016, it is guaranteed to become a Lucky Pokémon!

The Pokémon GO Summer Tour has now officially come to a close with a memorable and exciting Safari Zone in Yokosuka, Japan. 65,000 Trainers visited at least one of the three parks that comprised the event, walking an average distance of 3.75 km per person, and catching a combined average of 3.1M Pokémon each day.   • You can now use QR Codes to add friends
  • Improved Pokémon Collection search function lets you search using the term “Lucky”
  • You can now view map details for PokéStops on your screen
  • At-a-glance notifications now show when you have sent a Gift or increased your Friendship level with a friend
  • Additional setting options let you hide Recently Caught Pokémon from friends

Good news, Trainers! Children will soon have a new way to log in to Pokémon GO. Niantic Kids, powered by SuperAwesome, is a new log-in platform that will be available to support kid Trainers in Pokémon GO.

Parents can register with Niantic Kids to manage their child’s privacy via the parent portal. Whether you’re seeking a new Pokédex entry or awaiting the arrival of a Lucky Pokémon, you’ll get a chance to enjoy special bonuses starting August 2 at 1:00 P.M. PDT. All trades—including Special Trades—will cost 25% less Stardust to complete! This lasts until August 19 at 9:00 P.M. PDT and applies to all friends, even brand-new ones.

You can earn more Candy during every trade—netting up to six Candies total. Plus, keep an eye out when you encounter a Pokémon not currently in your Pokédex, as you’ll receive triple XP when you gain a new entry!

Professor Willow has made an important new discovery about Pokémon! His findings suggest that Pokémon can take on a new trait when they are traded. The trait’s origin is a mystery, and you can experience it soon in Pokémon GO!

According to his research, there is a chance that Pokémon, when traded, can become sparkly Lucky Pokémon. It seems that Lucky Pokémon require less Stardust to power up, which means they can reach a higher CP much faster than other Pokémon. Plus, a Lucky Pokémon can be detected by the Pokédex, so you can keep track of them!

  • When Pokémon are traded, there is chance that both traded Pokémon become Lucky Pokémon
  • You can now sort the Friends List and assign nicknames to Friends
  • Gifts may now contain Stardust

Pokémon’s legendary year brings more excitement with another Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region—Registeel, which makes its debut in Raid Battles on July 19!
