How do I access them on iOS? I updated the app and can’t see it anywhere
The button will be in the top-left corner of the menu.
If you don't see it, play a few games and it should show up

My device keeps throwing an error when trying to retrieve the challenge. I can try again or close the screen, but loading the data never works. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I have an active internet connection, van play online games, and have the latest polytopia version available in the play store.
Servers are having some trouble. We're working on it
Hey, sorry! I dont answer the emails on the weekend, and it was all caught up when I checked last.
Send me a DM and we'll see if we can straighten this out
Okay, so, I understand why you might be lost.
/r/Polytopia isn't about polyamory, but about the mobile game, "Polytopia".
If you can get yourself and your various lovers playing, that'd be great! It's on Android, iOS, Steam, and Switch!
look... please don't let me disrespect you. You guys have the best game in the market imho. So this is just a small interjection on my part as one of your fans. I have absolute confidence in your decision making. Whatever you wind up doing I will support with my wallet.
It genuinely means a lot hearing from you guys. Best of luck.
Your username is correct, you are a very nice dog. :)
Alright, how about the other super units? Why do Polaris, Cymantis, Aquarion, and Elyrion cities attract Gaami, centipedes, crabs, and dragon eggs? Or is this just gameplay without a lore explanation?
Each side has a different thing that they simply understand better. Elyrion has the trust of the Dragons, Crabs and Aquarion have a pact, Gaami are manufactured by Polaris and possessed by actual Gaami, etc
Very interesting! What about 1x1 island cities being able to get giants? Are those literally just a city, or are they actually meant to be relatively small islands with a city built on them with giants living in the non-city part of the island? How did the giants get there in the first place? They have their own giant boats and ships?
Those are good questions! Thanks for asking!
Okay, next!
So when a city gets to level 5 or higher, is this meant to represent the city becoming wealthy enough to hire another giant? Do giants normally live near cities close enough for the city to contact them?
It's kind of nice knowing that giants are actually naturally peaceful. And sad that they're turned into weapons by violent Polytopians.
Yeah, it's the city stockpiling food, building a shelter, etc and attempting to lure a Giant from the wilderness.
The devs (who made an amazing game and I don’t want to knock) don’t seem interested in addressing the Cymanti hate.
We do.
The devs said they are a sub-species of polytopians who usually live in forests and mountains and don't care about wars and outsiders, but that some can be persuaded to join one of the tribes with food, weapons, trinkets etc.
So it's kinda sad, as you are just luring these chill and presumbaly rather simple minded guys to die for your lust for power.
Confirmed.
Yeah, they're a subspecies. They peacefully roam the map looking for food and shelter, but can be persuaded to join your side.
You don't see them on the map because they're not important to you. Not a threat, and your tribe has no reason to provoke a bunch of Giants.
isn't it already the case ?
It's still in beta
will there be some updates upcomming in following months ?
Yes, Weekly Challenges will come soon
This isn’t a bug this is a feature. It’s is pretty well known, at least it used to be but it’s more forgotten these days because you can’t do it in multiplayer and it’s just a visual.
Technically, this is a bug.
The whole feature is a buggy mess under the hood, so you're gonna find oddities like this.
Huh. Wild
Hey, just to make myself clear, pedophilia, grooming, or anything unpleasant to do with a minor is wrong. Fully wrong. Full stop, no excuses.
But life is complicated and complex, and I can't possibly know the exact specifics at play in any given circumstance. I'm ultimately saying "I can't say yes or no to this highly specific circumstance (a hypothetical 18-14 relationship) because I can't possibly know everything related to it. I'm not the authority on this sort of thing."
The human experience is so diverse that I can't give a broad, blanket "no", as that wouldn't be fair.
I disagree, there are such things that are always bad, but not that many. The possibly gray area is far bigger than most people would admit.
The question that prompted this was clearly asked just to take it out of context and make me look bad. :/
The fact that many people just want to be in a "gotcha" mode is one of the big reasons most socials have become toxic. Context matters, always. The algorithm doesn't care about context.
It's okay to disagree. It's a really wonky, specific situation where legality, morals, and tons of other variables collide into a gray mess. Is it right or wrong? I have no idea. I'm just saying that I, personally, am not a lawyer, a sociologist, or any other profession that can give a solid yes or no given the particular, highly specific circumstances.
And yeah, socials can be garbage. Now comes the fun part where I have to let everyone know that no, I'm not condoning pedophilia, illegal relationships, etc just because one guy wants to make me look bad.
I believe you, though it's pretty unfortunate that any explanation walks the speaker right into a stand-up comedy routine
I agree. You can't try to give a nuanced answer that attempts to encompass the complexities of history and life without running into someone thinking you "wholly support" or "wholly reject" something.
I'm just saying that I cant possibly know everything.
That video was funny, though. Thanks for sharing.
Exactly what I was going to say. It's more probable than not that a relationship between a 14yo and a 18 is/will be bad and toxic, but individual circumstance varies widely so who knows.
Out of the 100 billion humans, surely there's been two people, one 18, one 14, where they were in a healthy, loving relationship or whatever. The human experience is so diverse that I can't give a broad, blanket "no", as that wouldn't be fair.
But I'm not going to say "18-14 relationships are okay." In the vast majority of circumstances, no, it's not okay. The question that prompted this was clearly asked just to take it out of context and make me look bad. :/
Aw, f**k. Adults, don’t f**k 14 year olds. This isn’t difficult.
I fully agree. Seriously, that sort of relationship is wrong. Pedophilia has no place in modern society.
In this specific circumstance, it's a bit more legally and morally gray due to the closeness in ages, and I cant possibly know every possible circumstance, hence the non-answer.
Plenty of grandparents have had a perfectly good relationship start that way, but
This should not be an argument someone makes in the modern day? What's the purpose of communicating this. You can't use the argument for present day people, and you shouldn't make people think you would.
Oh, don't worry, I fully agree. Pedophilia, grooming, and etc are inherently bad, full stop.
But when it comes to this specific circumstance, as I stated, it really rides that legal and moral gray line where I really can't give a proper answer. Hence the "Well, it really depends."
