Have been trying to launch the game since when it released. It crashes everytime after 'optimizing shader'. Here's a list of everything I've attempted in order to fix this so far.

  • Verify Files
  • Uninstall and Reinstall
  • Install Files on new Drive (C: to D:)
  • Restart PC
  • Uninstall Battleye, then launch the Extraction .exe as admin
  • Update Drivers

Also I already tried all in your troubleshooting guide but its not solved so don't even mention it.
My specs are an 5900hx 3070 laptop. I had exact same issue when I try launch rainbow six siege in Vulcan. Can't belive there is no option launching game in DX12 except Vulcan. Siege have that option.

Hey @hteiknokeelf

I'm sorry to hear you're unable to even play the game but thanks for letting us know what steps you've tried already and providing some of your specs.

Please can you make sure the computer is trying to launch the game with the correct GPU and follow the steps in the article here to set the dedicated GPU to launch the game with.

If you have an integrated graphics chipset built into the processor, it may be trying to launch with that instead of your dedicated GPU. I have seen this resolve crashing issues for others so far and as you are on a laptop, you'll likely have an integrated chipset so should be able to set your dedicated GPU.

@hteiknokeelf

I'm sorry to hear that the issues have persisted. Can I ask you to attempt all of the other suggested steps by Ubi-Keo on the thread here, please?

If after doing so you're still experiencing issues please let us know and we can open a support case for you to offer further assistance with this.

Thanks.

Hey there @hteiknokeelf , thanks for confirming that you've tried our troubleshooting steps.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket on your Ubisoft Connect account - you'll find it by logging in here. Please see this article describing how to create a couple of system files - we can use them to diagnose the issue, since they log crash information. Once you've got the two files generated, please upload them to the support ticket, and then let me know here on the forum once that's done. I'll then be able to take a look at give further troubleshooting guidance based on those files.

Let me know if I can clarify this process at all!
