Hi there, My install of Rainbow Six only crashes when I'm in a party with a friend trying to play together.

The game works with out any faults when I'm playing on my own, no issues at all in all game modes including online matches.

However when I invite a friend to my party or join their party, and then play any game mode with them, the audio begins tearing / lagging consistently. The game also tends to freeze and crash. The only way for me to exit once this has happened is to restart my computer. This also happens in non - online matches like training grounds. Both our internet connections are pretty solid with consistently low pings at around 5-20.

We have both been playing Rainbow together for a few months and this only seems to have come in affect once the planned maintenance was carried out recently.

I have tried updating all drivers, running the game with no background programs running, verifying game files through the Ubisoft connect application and playing with other people but have had no luck with any of these methods.

Unfortunately this has also resulted in me getting a number of abandon penalties. As when i restart the app and try to re-join after crashing it will not.

Thanks

Hey folks, apologies for the frustration of playing with other friends in matches. When this occurs, are any of you the host of the party or invited by a friend? Does this also happen if you are either the host or when invited by a friend? Lastly, are you met with an error message on the main screen or kicked from Rainbow Six Siege entirely when the game crashes? If you are met with an error message, please let us know what message you see, and I would also recommend if you have a VPN enabled, try disabling it as this will cause difficulties in matches.

Hey there guys,

Thanks for getting back to us.

So we can take a closer look into this issue and better understand your setups, could you please open a case on our Support Site, Facebook or Twitter and attach your PC system files?

We can then check for other potential causes of the freezes as well as pass this data onto then team for investigation.

Much appreciated!

Thanks for getting in touch @kiljaedan1 !

Sorry to hear you're also affected by this!

If you haven't done so already, could you please refer to my previous post to send us your system files?

The more information we can gather the better for the team to be able to look into this further.

Much appreciated!
