I've never had this problem. All of a sudden The game now never loads, I reset Uplay, Steam, my whole computer and even my modem.
The game starts fine, but then at the very beginning, before the main menu can load, it says (as it always would) "validating and updating playlists and properties" but it just stays there and NEVER finishes loading. After a long time it says: "Unable to update" with the options [cancel] or [retry] but neither do anything, however if I hit [cancel] and wait for another 5 minutes of nothing it eventually goes to the main menu after 2 or 3 attempts, where I can see my progress, renown, equip/unequip gear, go to the shop, etc... but as soon as I attempt to launch ANY king of game, even lone wolf.
