What platform are you on? Are you saying you have deleted your save file for your config set up? If you re launch the game, it should make a fresh save in its place.

Hello!

Re-installing the game likely won't resolve your issue, as this is occurs when your save file is corrupt. Also due to the file corruption, it is not possible to revert your settings back to what they were, they would need to be manually adjusted.

You will know the steps have been followed correctly because you will be asked which save to use when you next launch the game. If the issue reoccurs after this step, there is likely some software installed causing the corruption.

Try to check any installed anti-virus, and make sure both Uplay & your games are trusted.
