I never had any trouble with my PS4 controler when playing via steam. But after the Neon Dawn update of december 1st 2020 it is completely unplayable. The sensitivity of the joysticks is not the same as it used to be, it reacts even when I am not touching them and changing the deadzone of the joysticks does not fix it. Also I am not able to rotate my drones or cameras. Before the update the game would show me what PS4 buttons to press for interactions, now it shows me the X-box variant.
I tried playing the game with the playstation- and xbox configuration support within steam's bigpicture off and on, but this did not help.

Does anyone have the same problems and/or maybe a solution.

Hey there The_Cosdor,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and to hear you're having issues

Just to check - have you ensured all of the controller's drivers have been updated as well as any 3rd party programs you may be using with the controller?

Hey The_Cosdor, nice avatar, thanks for getting back to us.

This is the first post I have come across this for this issue with the dualshock not working, it may also be worth checking Steams own discussions for any other players having an issue with Dualshock4 support.

Can you confirm if this is does not work for the DirectX version of the game and also the Vulkan mode version of the game? Have you had the opportunity to install both versions and test this? We seem to be having different issues affecting Vulkan mode since the latest Neon dawn update.

Can I also check as a workaround, if you completely unplug the mouse and keyboard and start the game in big picture mode does it still have the same issue?

Thanks for the update The_Cosdor, so both versions of the game will not detect bluetooth input for the game only wired? I will try downloading the game via Steam and see if I get the same result, thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.

Are you able to post a screenshot or link us to a screenshot of your gamepad settings in Steam and also in the games settings so I can try to replicate this myself?

Thank you very much Cosdor. Can you try to post to an image hosting site such as Imgur - https://imgur.com/upload

Then copy the link and post it into the thread post here?

Thank you for the link friend, I can now download those images if I need to report this up. I still have another 10GB to download to go I will let you know what happens once I have been able to test this to rule anything out. In the meantime hopefully another Dualshock4 Steam users may be able to post their experience with this in the thread too.

I will do my best to update you soon.

Hi Cosdor, just a quick update, I have tested my self and looked further into the issue for you.

It turns out that at the moment the issue is with the Ubisoft Connect launcher that runs in the background. Even though Steam will recognize your DS4 controller, it will not work in the game as Ubisoft Connect does not work with DS4 or DS5 controllers either bluetooth connected or wirelessly connected. The only controller it officially supports with the launcher is the Microsoft Xbox 360/One/XSX controllers. Because Microsoft owns Xbox and Windows, the drivers are more compatible and regularly updated with Windows updates and through the Xbox Accessories controller app in the Windows Store.

Unfortunately Ican not guarantee if their are any plans to enable official dualshock support fully with Ubisoft Connect, this is why your controller wont work in game even though you you purchased it from Steam. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news in this instance Cosdor.
