R6 Vulkan uses a lot of RAM like 4.5GB. It used to decrease in game but after this season it increases randomly and causes a lot of FPS drops.

Hey, bahadrop-top!

Is it only Vulkan that this happens in? What in-game graphical settings do you currently have?

Also what is your system specs?

Thank you. In order to run Vulkan you need to have the following as a minimum:

AMD Radeon HD 77XX series or better.
Intel Gen9 (IX-6XXX, Intel HD Graphic 5XX) or better.
Nvidia GTX 6 series or better

What GPU do you have?

Hi bahadrop-top.

I believe your AMD Vega 8 graphics card may be comparable to a GeForce GTX 1050 GTX. The minimum required graphics card needed is a GeForce GTX 460, so GPU wise I think you will be okay.

We support gaming on laptops with our games as much as we can do, as long as the minimum specs are met, but the game is not optimised for this.

Were you able to try lowering your Vram usage by lowering the settings as I suggested in your other post?

I apologise, I thought that AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 was an integrated graphics card for certain notebooks.

If you are not using a laptop and a pc instead, are you running any software in the background whilst playing the game?

If you are using any other software in the background such as but not limited to -

Full Screen Game Overlays - Overwolf / Geforce Experience
VoIP and Chat services - TeamSpeak / Mumble / Discord / Skype / Raptr
RGB controllers - Razer Synapse / SteelSeries Engine / Logitech G Hub
Overclocking Software - EVGA Precision X / MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner / ASUS GPU Tweak / ASUS Smart Doctor / Gamer OSD
Hardware monitoring - MSI Kombuster / Fraps
Streaming software - OBS, Xsplit Gamecaster
Peer to Peer software - BitTorrent / uTorrent
VPN - Hamachi

Try a clean boot of your system here -

- Press the Windows key and S buttons on the keypad and search for Task Manager,
- Launch the app then navigate to the 'Start up' programs tab
- Disable everything that might be conflicting with the game such as conflicting software
- Restart the computer then try launching the game from Uplay/Epic/Steam
