I have an Asus gaming laptop that has a Built-in 120Hz refresh rate screen however in the game Rainbow Six Seige the only option available is 60Hz, I tried many things like putting the game in full screen, enabling and disabling v-sync, and changing my game settings from the game files ( Gamesettings.ini). I would really appreciate it if you could help me with my issue.

Hello Wawa_Senpai, thank you for getting in touch.

Do you know if you have more than one GPU in your laptop, such as an integrated and dedicated GPU like you sometimes have in PCs?

What is the make of your GPU please? Are you able to find out by running a dxdiag report?

This article should show you how to create a dxdiag system report - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/Article/000078583

Once you can let me know these details I will do my best to investigate this further for you.

Hey! Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Do you have Vsync enabled?

What GPU are you using?

Hello Dr_Whisky21, thank you for getting in touch with us.

As far as I know, changing the games settings via the gamesettings.ini file should not change this in game, at least not in the settings menu, as this settings menu is actually saved to your Siege profile instead and not that file.

To help resolve this issue, have you tested this in the DirectX version of the game and have you noticed what FPS value you get from this version? Can you double check your GTX 1060 and make sure you have the latest driver update?

If you are unsure of what GPU driver update you have installed, you can find this out by running a dxdiag report on your PC or using your GPU's software -

To download the latest Nvidia drivers, follow this link -

If you do happen to be running the latest driver update, could you please uninstall this driver and install the previous version, to rule out if it it the monthly driver update which is causing this first?

Hey! Are you able to change the refresh rate on borderless/windowed mode?
