I'm trying to launch Rainbow Six Siege through Steam like I've always done, and it worked fine, launched every single time I did that. Now it instead decides to say "[censored] you", and open connect instead. I don't know what happened, but it's extremely annoying. I just want to play the damn game. I don't want to open connect. Launch the damn game when I want to launch it.

Why can't this software just do what it's supposed to do, and launch the game, instead of launching a heap of junk that doesn't work?

EDIT: Now Connect just logged me out for no reason, despite the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME I tick "Remember me", and "This is a trusted device", yet constantly keeps logging me out. The only way to fix this is to put my account at risk by DISABLING 2FA. Having to jeopardize the security of my account just so that it will do what it's supposed to do is unacceptable.

Hi there @GassyKevin ! Thank you for reaching out, and I am sorry to hear that you're encountering this problem. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions that will help with our investigation, and then I can add everything to our report.

  • When you are logged out, does this happen mid-game or before the match starts?
  • Have you seen this happen in all game modes? If not, please let me know which game modes you have seen this happen in.
  • Aside from Ubisoft Connect opening, are you receiving any error codes or messages? If so, please let me know what they say.
  • Is this issue only affecting Siege? If not, please list all games that this happens with.

Hello @GassyKevin thanks for clarifying and sorry to see you have run into this issue when closing the game.

This is something that is affecting a few players, logging the player out of the launcher, when exiting a game, and it is not just affecting Siege but a few of our titles.

I apologize that you keep encountering this issue, it is under investigation by our Connect team at the moment, I will pass your details along as one of the players encountering this also.
