Before anyone gives me the obvious, yes my graphics are all on low, yes all my drivers are up to date, yes i've verified file integrity, no nothing is bottlenecking my gpu/cpu, yes i've uninstalled and reinstalled my gpu drivers, it's a game issue it seems
my specs are as follows:
Ryzen 5 2600
OLOy 4x8Gb sticks 3000 speed (i'm aware this is a bit slow for ryzen but continue reading)
Arctic freezer 34 esports duo cpu cooler
GTX 1080 zotac amp edition
MSI X470 gaming plus max
1tb M.2 NVME ssd (siege is on this)
500gb sata ssd
1tb hdd

the issue here is that my fps is randomely lower than usual, this issue is very recent but i've had it in the past, but this one i can't fix it this time. my fps always stayed at 165 constant, and dropped to 140-150 is extreme situations, but now it's a constant 90-120 and i it drops to 60-70 sometimes. this is very irritating.

Hello Temp.Xronier, thank you for posting.

You mentioned you have tried various troubleshooting already but can I ask if you are overclocking your computer with any programs such as MSI Afterburner?

Do you use any software in the background when playing the game such as -

Full Screen Game Overlays
VoIP and Chat services
RGB controllers
Overclocking Software
Hardware monitoring
Streaming software
Peer to Peer software
VPN

Please disable these applications from running in the background to stop any extra strain on your PC, by performing a full 'clean boot' -

- Press the Windows key and S buttons on the keypad and search for Task Manager
- Launch the app then navigate to the 'Start Up' programs tab
- Right click on any program or software that might be conflicting with the game such as the programs listed above and select 'Disable'
- Restart the computer then try launching the game from Ubisoft Connect

Have you also checked your FPS settings for the game in Nvidias control panel software? You can override this setting per program for Rainbow Six Siege if you add the games .exe file to the programs list and alter the FPS settings directly from this program.

Another thing that couldn't harm to check would be the speed of your Ram, is this registering in the Motherboards bios as the correct speed 3000DDRM or does it appear as a default XMP profile with a lower speed?

No worries. If you are able to diagnose that the issues aren't hardware related please reach back out to us. Hope you manage to get it figured out. Cheers!
